B&B Agrigento I Segreti della Valle — Hotel in Agrigento

We stayed 3 nights at this lovely hotel. The owner and host, Fiorella, kept in touch with us for our arrival time so that she could greet us with delicious fruit and a 1/2 bottle of Prosecco. The decor of I Segreti is modern but wam and inviting. She thought of everything, including a small coffee maker in the room.|Breakfasts were copious, with homemade panna cotta, bread and jams, ham and cheese, and even cannoli. |Although it is on a somewhat busy road, the shutters to the rooms block out a great deal of the traffic sound. I was not really bothered at all.|The hotel is conveniently located about 1 km from the entrance to the Valle dei Templi. The sidewalk disappears in a couple of places, so you get to share the road with the motorists! |We loved staying here, not only because of the convenient location, but because of Fiorella’s outstanding hospitality.|Grazie...

It is a very pleasant place, in an area close to the tourist attractions. The room is spacious, clean, has air conditioning, perfect for a few days, with a beautiful view of the archaeological site. The bathroom, huge, has everything you need. A pleasant surprise was the breakfast, for which we were asked to choose 8 or 9 o'clock. We were awaited with a special arrangement that we have not encountered even at 5-star hotels, it was special for us, with special care so that we don't miss anything and with very tasty local delicacies. We felt extraordinary and we couldn't wait for it in each of the days that followed. |Mirela, the manager of the small hotel, is a perfect host, who knows how to promote places and warmly recommends visits from all around.|Thank you, dear Mirela, it was a perfect stay. We chose this hotel because we wanted to visit the Greek temples of Agrigento. The website made it sound like we could walk there, but it's really pretty far from the temples, and you'll be doing a lot of walking once you get to the site, so we drove and parked at the temples. The hotel advertised a view of the temples, and indeed, we could see one temple from our room, but it was pretty far away. The location is on a busy city street, next to a convenient free parking lot. But we probably would have stayed in an agriturismo if we'd realized how far from the temples this is. Still, it's a pleasant clean, modern hotel with strong wi-fi. The breakfast was good, and the manager was friendly and helpful.
