Hotel Gandolfo — Hotel in Alassio

I say average because of the overall impression of the hotel interior; impersonal rooms, good bathroom although very small, and we had a balcony with a fantastic view over the Mediterranean Sea. A/C is not silent but noth noisy either. You hear it but does not disturb.||I say good for the very kind breakfast personnel.||I say incredible that we had to pay 25 euros for 2 beach chairs and that you cannot choose were you wish to be on that beach; you will be guided to a certain beach chair. There are about 5 -8 chairs in a row ,very close to each other, and one of them is then yours for the day. The next day you pay again 25 euros and the whole thing starts all over again.||This is not only related to this hotel but all hotels in Alassio ( and I think in the whole of Italy )do this. I just forgot about it.||Hotel Gandolfo itself has a good location. From the entrance you cross a pedestrian boulevard ( some bicycles but no cars)and then you are on the payable beach.||Do I recommend it? Yes, because it is clean and not too expensive ; we paid 90 Euros with a breakfast included ( croissants, bread, jam, sweet things and very good and tasty ham) and then 25 euros for the beach to be added if you want to seek some suntan. There are other hotels in Alassio who ask 25 euro (or more ) per person per day. Just that you know. It is on walking distance to the very lively and pretty center full of shops, restaurants and bars. You do not hear anything of that noise...

Abbiamo soggiornato qui 10 giorni ad Agosto, io, il mio compagno e mia figlia di 7 anni e siamo stati splendidamente bene! Tutto il personale e i titolari, sia della struttura che del bagno, sono gentilissimi e disponibili per qualsiasi esigenza e necessità.|Camera grande, appena ristrutturata dotata di tutti i comfort, unica obiezione aggiungerei il frigo bar poiché specialmente nei mesi estivi avere bevande fresche in camera è fondamentale!|L’hotel si trova esattamente di fronte alla spiaggia e di conseguenza al loro bagno, 2 passi ma nel vero senso della parola, niente di più comodo per rientrare sia per pranzo che per cena. Fantastica anche l’ora di acqua gym che tutte le mattine alle 11 veniva proposta direttamente in mare. Cibo semplice ma molto buono, sempre possibilità di scelta tra 3 primi e 3 secondi oltre al buffet di verdura come antipasto e per concludere dolci/gelati/frutta etc..|Che dire…tutto bellissimo, peccato che le vacanze durano sempre poco!!!|Ci torneremo sicuramente qualcosa volessimo soggiornare di nuovo ad...

Nessuna esperienza diretta dell’albergo. Semplicemente perché, alla richiesta di una camera per la notte del 17 giugno, alla quale avremmo aggiunto anche due giorni di spiaggia e parcheggio, è stato risposto candidamente che non volevano prenotazione di una camera per una sola notte. Ho passato 40 anni le mie vacanze ad Alassio, ho smesso di andarci per colpa di gente come questa, che non immagina come si debbano trattare correttamente e con rispetto TUTTI, perché potrebbero diventare futuri potenziali clienti da un mese di villeggiatura. Senza vergogna.

Never been able to enjoy the hotel, simply because, despite our intention to book one night and 2 days of beach access and parking, they refused to book for just one night. Alassio has been my holiday place for 40 years, and this is the reason why I stopped going there. People like this, who doesn’t treat all potential clients with respect, not guessing that, maybe, one day they will be clients for 1...
