Daniella and Franco were superb in every way!! Food is the star here - absolutely fantastic, plentiful and not just standard Italian fare. Lots of surprises that were not on the menu, which were all historic! We were a party of 6, 4 middle aged men and 2 teenage daughters, and the hotel was perfect. We were given basic, but perfect, rooms. Loads of hot water after a great days skiing. We were made to feel very welcome, and the relaxed bar and lounge was a fantastic place to just sit, read, play cards and have a relaxing beer or 5. The hotel is 0.5 mile along a straight road from town. Don't let that put you off - easy drive to free car park at main gondola, where ski equipment could be stored in heated room for 2 euros per evening - money well spent! You can also walk into town, which takes 15 mins. One of our party had stayed at this hotel 3 times previously, and having spent 4 days there last week, I can honestly say I'll go back there without hesitation. Great hotel, run by...
Read moreStayed here for a week skiing with friends. As mentioned by others the rooms are clean, moderate sized but perfect for us. |No minibar, but not needed as there is a large sitting room with bar. Owners (Franco & Daniela) very friendly and accommodating. ||Hotel is located outside the village on the way to the Frachey lift. 15 minutes easy walk to Champoluc. Franco transports you every day to either the Frachey lift or the Crest lift in Champoluc for skiing; perfect. For returning the (ski)bus stops in front of the hotel. ||Every evening a nice set dinner with salad buffet and choice between two starters of the day (primi) followed by main course and a dessert. Good quality food and also nice winelist. Selection of wines from Aosta region, Piëmonte and Sardegna (and some...
Read moreVery relaxing stay here with very friendly and helpful staff. The food was good, buffet breakfast and 4 course dinner with a salad bar too. The rooms were scrupulously clean, we were 3 adults sharing a twin/double room and an annex with the third bed, so there was plenty space. The location was convenient for skiing because after breakfast Franco does shuttle runs to the carpark (2 mins drive). You can easily walk back from Champoluc (about 10 mins) but if the park is too icy then you need to walk by the side of the road so wouldn't recommend with small children. However there are 2 ski buses every hour and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. I'd definitely consider staying here again. Excellent...
