Hotel Petit Tournalin — Hotel in Ayas

Yet again we had a great week in this hotel. It is so nice to stay somewhere you are remembered and even the quirky habits of your kids are also remembered. ||||This time we were in one of the newly refurbished rooms which has been very well done and was extremely comfortable.||||As usual breakfast is plentiful and the four course dinners never disappoint. You do need to think about what you are having for lunch knowing you are coming back for a substantial meal in the evening. The cheeseboard is a particular favourite of mine with ever changing options.||||The largely local wine list is extremely well-priced. I am pretty sure the prices have not changed since last year. ||||The hotel is located out of the main village but a short, 5 minute, walk through the wooded parkland to the main street and then a couple of minutes to the main lift. There is also a free bus service that stops just opposite the hotel if you need a lift back after a day on the slopes..||||We did not even look at anywhere else when deciding to go back to Champoluc this year as this hotel offered everything we needed for our holiday.||||Thanks again to the family and their team for...

A nice place in the outer area of Champouluc. It takes about 15 minutes to walk the trail to ”Crest” - the skilift, or you can just take the free bus. Skiing is fenomenal, 2975 meters high gives you crispy thin air, and lots och bright sun. We were there over Christmas, and it was fine with snow in the slopes. Many slopes are marked red or black, but in my opinion that can translate to blue or red in Scandinavian measures. The Petit tournalin hotel is simple, clean and very friendly place to stay. Its family run with a great way of making everything feel comfortable. Breakfast and dinner included, great Italian traditionally food. The options is not always children’s favorites. Stayed here for a couple of days on the snow. From the moment we entered to the moment we left the staff were fantastic, catered to all our needs, an exceptionally ran hotel. A cosy environment in the bar/reception area and a lovely restaurant with a good selection of delicious food for dinner and breakfast. We ate very well and we're well taken care of by the wonderful ladies serving who were also fantastic with children. The room was modern, clean, comfortable and had all we needed.
