This is a scam, I repeat a scam!!!

No way this hotel got such high score without somebody playing with its score on all platforms.

This is such a bad hotel I wouldn’t come here for free. You can check my google credibility and see I am very credible.

We stayed at the suit room for 3 nights. Family of 5.

All the hotel including the rooms have strong cigarette smell. The facility is so old and doesn’t even come close to the pictures which looks fancy, it’s a wreck. They positioned cockroach and ant traps and some white powder inside the room and outside in the balcony, so disgusting. Mosquitoes everywhere. The pool has a cleaning liquid smell we didn’t even go inside once. The hotel lobby and corridors are so naked old and smelly I feel I’m walking in a poor lousy suburb building. On the way from the hotel to the old city you have so many homeless people all along the way my wife didn’t even go once for a walk by herself. There are suites people living in this building which are many rooms and they are so weird it’s is awkward even encountering them.

I think you get it…they ruined 3 night of my trip!!!

One of the worst hotels I have been to and if you compare how much I paid because of the high score I tell you this is the worst!!!

Hope you read all the way and didn’t tempt booking because of the high score and reviews which I don’t know...

Disappointing Experience at Hotel Windsor in Merano

We stayed at Hotel Windsor in Merano from September 5th to September 12th, 2024, and our experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, we informed the hotel that we would be leaving a day earlier and asked them not to charge us for the last night. Additionally, we mentioned that on September 8th, we wouldn’t be staying at the hotel but requested they charge us for that night since we were leaving our belongings in the room. The person at the reception said they would inform the owner.

However, the owner, who was extremely arrogant and rude, treated us with a consistently unpleasant attitude throughout our stay. The worst part came on the night of September 10th, when we asked for the bill from the owner’s son. He behaved in a threatening and disrespectful manner, raising his voice and being extremely unprofessional. This was not only unpleasant but completely unacceptable for any hospitality establishment.

I absolutely do not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a respectful and professional service. It was a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience.

Äußerst enttäuschende Erfahrung im Hotel Windsor in Merano

Wir waren vom 5. September bis zum 12. September 2024 im Hotel Windsor in Merano und unsere Erfahrung war alles andere als zufriedenstellend. Bei unserer Ankunft teilten wir dem Hotel mit, dass wir einen Tag früher abreisen würden, und baten darum, uns die letzte Nacht nicht in Rechnung zu stellen. Zudem gaben wir an, dass wir am 8. September nicht im Hotel übernachten würden, baten jedoch darum, die Nacht zu berechnen, da wir unsere Sachen im Zimmer lassen wollten. Der Mitarbeiter sagte, er werde den Eigentümer informieren.

Der Eigentümer jedoch, der äußerst arrogant und unhöflich war, zeigte uns während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts eine durchweg unangenehme Haltung. Der Höhepunkt war am Abend des 10. September, als wir die Rechnung beim Sohn des Besitzers anforderten. Er verhielt sich in einer bedrohlichen und respektlosen Weise, erhob seine Stimme und war extrem unprofessionell. Dies war nicht nur unangenehm, sondern für ein Hotel absolut inakzeptabel.

Ich kann dieses Hotel niemandem empfehlen, der auf der Suche nach einem respektvollen und professionellen Service ist. Es war eine sehr enttäuschende und unangenehme Erfahrung.

Nuestra estancia en el Hotel Windsor en Merano fue realmente desagradable, y sentimos la necesidad de compartir nuestra experiencia para evitar que otros pasen por lo mismo. Habíamos reservado del 5.9.2024 al 12.9.2024, pero informamos al llegar que nos quedaríamos un día menos, pidiendo que no nos cobraran por esa última noche. Además, mencionamos que el 8.9.2024 no pasaríamos la noche en el hotel, pero pedimos que se nos cobrara ya que dejaríamos nuestras pertenencias. El encargado nos dijo que lo informaría al dueño.

El dueño del hotel, sin embargo, fue increíblemente arrogante y grosero durante toda nuestra estancia. Su actitud era constantemente desagradable, con un trato que dejaba mucho que desear.

El colmo fue la noche del 10.9.2024 cuando pedimos la cuenta al hijo del dueño. Su comportamiento fue absolutamente inaceptable: nos trató de manera grosera, amenazante y gritó sin razón alguna. La situación fue sumamente desagradable e irrespetuosa. Este tipo de trato es inadmisible, especialmente en un entorno de hospitalidad.

No recomendaría este hotel a nadie que busque un servicio respetuoso y profesional. ¡Fue una experiencia muy desagradable y...

The hotel itself is in tip top shape, perfect rooms, amazing pool and garden. Breakfast is top. For lunch and diner a small menu is available in the bar that also caters the pool and garden (live like a king in Merano ;-) ). The hotel staff is incredible and the host is very accommodating. The location is perfect, quite enough to enjoy some rest (with drinks!) in pool and garden. But just a stroll along the beautiful river away from the “thermen”, the city center and a lot of nice restaurants. Your host knows most of them, very well, so ask for recommendations and reservations and the restaurants in question treat you very well. We have enjoyed every single suggestion the host made! Want to go for a hike in the mountains? Also no problem. All information is available and it’s easy to get to the specific gondolas or starting points (we used our car, but public transportation is also available near by).
