Sorry we only booked and stayed one night. If arriving by car, check Google maps for the lane behind the hotel where you drop off your luggage and enter the hotel. Reception then provides a map for parking across the river. From check in to check out, service was exemplary. Given the hotel’s location, we were sure how check in would be with a car however staff at reception made it was easy. Check out was just as easy retrieving the car, and then loading it at the back door.||The room we booked was a classic double with balcony. It was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well and the wi fi signal was strong. We slept well, hotel is quiet and the room was quiet. The hotel has an elevator and the location is ideal.||Breakfast was a very nice buffet with plenty of variety. Fresh fruit cocktail, fresh pineapple, melon and 'freshly' squeezed orange juice!! Pastries were delicious - chocolate croissant - fantastic. Scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, cereal, etc. All fantastic. |What a well managed hotel, and a great team of employees! Nice job...

We went to Merano to visit because my grandmother had a home there, and we would visit as children. The town is lovely! Wonderful hiking, great food and nice people. Unfortunately that is not the experience we had at the Hotel Aurora. We had locked in the price for the hotel, because we booked months in advance. Unfortunately we were not able to stay as long as we liked, and cancelled 2 of the nights. We were promised that if the rooms were re-rented we would not be charged. The rooms were re-rented at a much higher rate, but they still charged us!||||We spoke with the woman from the reception ( Lisa Aukenthaler) who was INCREDIBLY rude and dismissive. She agreed IN WRITING that they wrongly charged us for 2 nights and in addition charged us a much higher rate than was originally booked! To add insult to injury, she muttered an antisemitic comment under her breath, in German, but we are fluent in German and understood her remark.||||After months of fighting we finally got our money back, but what a huge headache!...

In large parts of Italy they still maintain a strong tradition of family managed small hotels - to the benefit of you as a guest (as opposed to the large hotel chains). Hotel Aurora proves my point, the service is not only friendly and excellent, but like coming home every time you visit the hotel. Add to this an exquisite location smack in the middle of the city with all the bars, restaurants and shops next door. Choose one of the designer rooms with a balcony overlooking the Passirio river, the fantastic Terme Merano with all its in- and outdoor pools as well as the beautiful flower arrangements along the pedestrian area, and you want to stay here for ever. There is more, great breakfast and a lovely restaurant with professional and friendly staff that serve you the best local food. We have visited this hotel multiple times over the last 15+ years and can only give it our absolute highest appraisal.

Lenzuola in cotone molto piacevoli e profumate.
