Hotel Garni Gonzaga — Hotel in Comun General de Fascia

We were 15 people (family and friends and few children) from Croatia staying in hotel Gonzaga in Canazei, Italy, from December 26 to January 2nd 2016. Inspite of the fact that there was scarcity of natural snow in the whole region in the mentioned period, we had perfect skiing, very well organised by community of Canazei and our hosts in Hotel Gonzaga who brought us every morning to the ski station by their wan. In hotel Gonzaga atmosphere was festive and hearty that we felt as happy and pleasantly as we were having Christmas time at home. We felt indeed as a part of the family of our hosts in hotel Gonzaga. We could only dream about food our hosts surprised us every day (breakfast and dinner, and a small snack between those main meals). It was the best that Italian abundant and sophisticated gastronomy offers. The hosts in hotel Gonzaga, as well as their excellent cook Vicenzo and all the kitchen staff (we will never forget devoted waitress Carmen) tried to surprise us with original and special dishes. They paid particular attention to our children who were very happy in the very well suplied playing room. We had spacious apartments in hotel Gonzaga. They were warm, and spotlessly clean as they were cleaned every day, and our beds carefully made. We had everything we could need. That's why we suggest to all the people who are interested in visiting Dolomiti to stay in Hotel Gonzaga Canazei, and they will have wonderful...

Hotel Garni Gonzaga ,Canazei ,Passo Pordoi,Dolomites |Hotel has a nice location, about 10 km from Canezai the Passo Pordoi. Rooms are older with the classic equipment in the room .No refrigerator in the room , but there is still a speaker in the wall for listening to the radio, which proves that the hotel is very old -nice ( see picture) We have booked the hotel for four nights, but because of the noise every night we left hotel after three nights. Room are very poorly acoustically isolating, all sounds from the hallway come into the room, we had a room on the first floor, in this floor the hotel has apartments where drunk guests have every night very loud party, noisy, so it's impossible to sleep. The hotel is in hills to enjoy the peace of nature,but because of the loud noise, screaming people we left it early. Breakfast at the hotel is very basic (see pictures), no fried eggs, etc., mainly lodging in can , at 8:30 AM all salami and cheese runs out (see picture) This hotel is not recommended for those who want to enjoy...

Beh che dire del Gonzaga.....sono 10 anni che vado li e cercherò di spiegarvi perché. Il Gonzaga si trova sulla strada che da Canazei va su al passo Pordoi in corrispondenza del tornante 19....1 km. e mezzo prima del passo pordoi quindi è situato ad una quota rilevante...attorno ai 2100 metri di quota. La particolarità di questo posto è in assoluto la sua posizione!! Dopo 20 anni che vado in val di Fassa credo di poter dire che il Gonzaga si trova probabilmente nel posto più panoramico di tutta la val di Fassa......semplicemente fantastico. Dal Gonzaga si ammirano le più belle montagne della val di Fassa...la Marmolada, il gruppo del Sella con la cima del Pordoi proprio davanti e leggermente a sinistra il sasso lungo e sasso piatto col rifugio demetz in cima alla forcella. Insomma ovunque uno guardi si è attorniato da queste vette spettacolari e uniche. Anche i proprietari (Osvaldo e sua Moglie ) sono estremamente accoglienti e simpatici. Veniamo alla struttura : la struttura è un po' datata ma tenuta bene. È chiaro che se la paragoniamo alle nuove strutture di oggi non può reggere il confronto......quindi non c'è lavastoviglie, lavatrice, forno, forno a microonde etc. In compenso c'è al piano interrato la Piscina, sauna e campo da ping pong. Tutte cose che per le famiglie con bambini è davvero molto comoda. Al ritorno dalle sciate o dalle camminate della giornata ci si mette costume e in accappatoio e si scende giù in piscina....davvero comodo. Essendo situato alla base delle piste da sci del belvedere d'inverno è fantastico...si arriva in macchina il primo giorno e non si tocca più per una settimana. Da lì si esce con gli sci ai piedi e si va ovunque...sella, val Gardena, val badia.... Per dirlo in una parola si fa il giro dei 4 passi. In sostanza una struttura un po' datata ma attorniata da un paesaggio unico che la circonda a 360 gradi. . Se cercate la pace e la vera montagna questo è il posto che fa per voi. Viceversa se cercate la mondanità ed i locali e la vita serale direi che non fa al caso vostro. Da non dimenticare sia d'estate che d'inverno è la luce del sole fino a tardo pomeriggio mentre giù in valle il sole scompare almeno 2 ore prima. Lì si prendono tutti i raggi del sole fino alla fine e d'inverno non è cosa da poco. Se cercate la pace, la natura, l'aria buona e la vera montagna lo consiglio ad occhi chiusi....
