Extraordinary. Felt we were in a 1970s time warp. From the Ivy frieze bedroom decor, to the bizarre art on the ground floor, the Christmas decorations still going strong at the end of February, and the dated furniture everywhere. We had a laugh because we didn’t really care that much and the nightclub, and racket associated with that at 3 in the morning might not be to everyone’s taste. In fact one night someone let off bangers outside our room which were so loud they probably woke up half the hotel. The whole resort in my opinion is dated. The food everywhere is either bizarre or unimaginative and at weekends due to the fact it is a very local ‘go to’ ski area, badly managed. The slopes are packed and the restaurants up the mountain completely unable to cope. You expect to pay over and above for the feel good factor but there is limited choice, hour long queues for self service and hole in the ground loos in some places. Not ideal when wearing ski kit. Overall needs a total revamp but maybe that’s the point - they don’t need to because the resort was fully booked in every hotel from January through to end March. If you think 15 children running wild thru the lobby, bar and sitting area playing games is OK then this place is for you. No one lifts a finger to control these children and there is no place to find any peace and quiet. This is at 10:00 pm. |I was with a group and we went to dinner early. Later the families arrive and the din gets louder and louder. We then retire to the bar looking for peace and quiet. After the kids finish diner they proceed to turn the lobby and bar into a playground for hide and seek. This didn't happen just once but every night of our 6 night stay.| I might overlook the older rooms and mediocre food if I would've had peace and quiet. | In addition there is a disco out front that thumps until the early morning hours. | Our complaints to management fell on deaf ears.| If this place wants to cater to families OK but there should be a warning to anyone seeking something other than a daycare experience.| The location is convenient and it might have been an enjoyable stay except for uncontrolled children. | I can not even give this hotel one star because of their indifference to...

Siamo tornati al Des Alpes dopo 3 anni. La prima volta il Covid era solo un accenno, dopo poco più di un mese sarebbe stato chiuso tutto. Le strutture a Campiglio abbondano, sicuramente ce ne sono di più lussuose e moderne. Qui, come dice mio marito, sembra di entrare in un hotel da Vacanze di Natale, e ti aspetti Moonlight Shadow di sottofondo con Jerry Calà che suona al pianobar. L'hotel è vintage, ha molti inverni alle spalle ma ha una posizione perfetta. Dimenticatevi l'auto, c'è il garage proprio sotto. Il resto lo fate a piedi, anche andare a sciare. Food TOP, Pasticcere con la P maiuscola (Vincenzo Auditore sempre nel cuore), pulizia stanze e servizi impeccabile nonostante l'età delle stanze che abbiamo comunque trovato rinovate. E' sparita la moquette per far spazio al legno e la vasca è stata sostituita con una fantastica doccia. La differenza, tra tutte le strutture più aggiornate, la fanno i ragazzi dell'animazione. La continuità (dopo 3 anni di assoluta instabilità) per le bambine tra estate e inverno è alla base della riuscita della vacanza. Le ragazze e i ragazzi del villaggio estivo erano tutti lì ad aspettarci, a prendersi cura di noi e a farci divertire. Le bambine vengono accompagnate (prima cambiate e rivestite) con scarponi e caschetti alla scuola sci. Le vanno a riprendere e le portano a pranzo, le intrattengono per tutto il pomeriggio. C'è da precisare sempre una cosa: quando incappi nel "pacchetto Caliciotti" è la certezza che tutti, sulla scia delle risate e danze scalmanate dei bambini, si divertiranno da matti. Perchè Andrea è un matto da legare, che fa correre le mie figlie alle 10 di sera sotto la neve senza giacca, che fa quelle cose che un genitore in preda agli scrupoli e alla stanchezza MAI si sognerebbe di far fare, che fa soprattutto diventare un gruppo di ragazzi e ragazze una squadra perfetta che solo con uno sguardo si muove all'unisono. Mettici un Cali con un Marco Fontanarosa e il mix è letale. Le serate di cabaret, con sketch visti già 1000 volte e che ormai sai a memoria, che quasi non ridi più...uno ha il dono dell'improvvisazione, l'altro è un attore di formazione seria, di scuola di Teatro, che sta al gioco e raccoglie al volo. Mettici una Martina in mezzo che stimo molto perchè non se ne andava piegata a metà, i due di cui sopra, un teatro (il teatro Hofer) con gli affreschi di Sissi (che a momenti rideva anche lei) e hai fatto serata. Perchè è ridere che ci manca, quel ridere per una battuta presa così, al volo e improvvisata, quel ridere genuino provocato naturalmente da persone che hanno capito di cosa hai bisogno. Spensieratezza, risate e leggerezza. Che la vita è già pesantona di suo. Quindi grazie ragazzi, a tutto l'AIGO: Ziga, Chiara, Matilde, Virginia (che rimani la preferita di Chiaretta), Irene, grazie a Marco, Martina, Francesco, Michelino al piano bar, grazie come sempre all'impeccabile Veronica di Multivacanza che aiuta e soprattutto fa sempre una piacevole compagnia, al direttore Iozza e al direttore Marco Barilari, ai ragazzi del ricevimento e di sala.
