Hotel Garni Rin Da Rin — Hotel in Comunità montana Alta Valtellina

As a tradition our group (12 pax) we go every year on ski trip to Italy. We reserved the hotel for the 2021 season, payed all the reservations in full, but had to postpone for the next year because of Covid restrictions. We ended up being 11 pax and the reservations kept. This part went well. ||||This is a family run small hotel, just few steps from a supermarket, skibus stop, restaurant and a main street. Has own indoor and outdoor parking, ski room, breakfast place, quiet big rooms with very basic equipment, daily cleaned and well heated. TV and Free wifi included. ||Breakfast (8am-10am) is really basic, with a choice of sweet (croissants, corn flakes, yogurts etc. really tasty home made pastry) and salty (buns, egg, ham, cheese etc. i personally missed vegetable). The coffee is great.|| ||There were also things we did not like, mostly the flexibility did not meet our expectations:||Being on a long 8 hour journey, we have been told we must arrive before 19:30 and carry cash to pay on arrival where we had to literally argue since the previous emails on the deposit and the single room rate was not taken into consideration. If you don't speak Italian, you get nowhere. At last we payed the room in full to end the argument. No payment receipts given, but we made it to the room and shower. ||We asked to keep the community room/lounge open for our group, we had a lot to catch up. Other years we had no problem with that, we got our space and did not disturb others. We had a fantastic stay at Garni Rin da Rin. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by friendly Elena. The room was spacious and clean.
