Hotel Berta — Hotel in Desenzano del Garda

We stayed in Hotel Berta for 10 days as our base whilst travelling in Lake Garda. From the beginning the staff were so friendly, kind and helpful! It is a family run place and we got to know each of the family members ( Ingrid, Paula, Ana, Astrid, Nicholas and Alberto) throughout our stay. They worked very hard to give us recommendations, help us with transport and made us feel at home! They are an incredible family and work so hard to make it a nice stay for people!||||The breakfast had a wide variety of options each day and would change frequently which was good! Our rooms were cleaned every day and was lovely to come back to a beautiful room each day. They had a pool on entrance to the hotel and then two hot tubs on the roof terrace which my nephew loved!!! We used it everyday! There was also a sauna if you wished to use it for a small extra cost. From the roof terrace there were epically beautiful sunsets each night and views of the lake!||||We had a four person family room and it was kept very clean! We would stay there again without any hesitation. Thank you so much for the most wonderful stay!!!||||Location - The hotel is in between peschiera and desezano. There is a bus that links you to other areas but after 8pm it stops running so you will have to take taxis if you do not have a car. There were not too many good restaurants immediately nearby which normally isnt a problem, but we had a small child with us so walking 25-30 minutes for dinner was tiring ||||Small suggestion:||Rooms- To add a bit of a nice extra touch I would recommend the hotel provides kettles with teas and coffees. In the evenings we would want a nice hot drink and a relax, but would have to go down to the bar to bring up hot water and go to the dining area to...

Overal a good experience at this hotel.||Positive points:|- very nice jacuzzi on the rooftop. You can reserve per half an hour slots. |- very clean rooms|- good location if you want to stay in the south of Garda|- good breakfast, but many pies and cakes. I find it difficult to understand why Italians eat that at breakfast. There are many other options served though, therefore this doesn’t pose an issue.||Negative points:|- no fridge in the room. Especially during hot summer it’s difficult|- booking said parking included for free but that’s not true. There is parking down the street and that’s what they actually mean. Their own parking garage is 50€ a night. I don’t find it correct that this isn’t advertized correctly. I heard several guests complain about this. It would be better to communicate this correctly. |- their elevator is really scary. It’s old and doesn’t feel safe. Sometimes you also have to wait more than 5 minutes for it to arrive. You also can’t take the stairs as alternitive- we searched but couldn’t find another way to the rooftop.||Besides these few negative points the hotel is actually great.
