This place is a very busy, compact campsite. We spent a week there, Saturday to Saturday. We stayed in a chalet. Which was nice, basic and for 6 people a bit of a squeeze. We were supposed to be 7 people. I am glad the other person couldn't come otherwise I do not know how we would have coped. Naturally, it states the size of the chalet on the Internet. However my main annoyance was with the storage. For instance, In the kitchen the storage cupboards are full from pre-provided crockery but there is not a single place to store dry food stuff. We ended up storing it in a cardboard box under the sofa. Four gas hobs but no surface space, why? .The interior table is too high for the person sitting on the sofa to eat comfortably. If there was more thought into the interior design, there would be plenty more space inside. One other negative point was our chalet was located right next to the main road. This is a race road and even in the early hours, you hear motor bikes and cars racing along.
This is a campsite with everything you need in one place. It is a little annoying that the pool is separated by the road. This place likes to fill every spot and can give the feeling of being in an ants nest.
We were traveling with a dog, this was a major plus point for us. There were many dog owners around. However in the first moments of arrival our dog injured her paw as the steps leading to the chalet are made from metal grids. Meaning they have little holes in which the nail from the dog get stuck in as the dog is leaving the chalet. We were not the only ones with this problem and we met at least 6 others with the same injury. There is a dog park nearby(outside the campsite down the road) and an area of shoreline where you may take your dog. The campsite provides small and I mean small patches of ground as dog toilet/ park. These were pointless and too small. No one used them. Meaning the dogs pooped on the road ways or on the shoreline. The majority picked it up but not everyone. This was then the negative for the shoreline. The positive included the use of trees for shade, the cleanliness, the friendly service staff (the lady with the blue hair, was amazing) the wonderful food in the restaurant and the access to lake Garda. I personally would not return but only because I found it over crowded. Which in essence is to be expected from...
Read moreBeautiful location, great camping site with local amenities and very nice, well equipped mobile homes. Food in the restaurant is outstanding, even better than some local restaurants. |Staff and organisation will however ruin your holiday so I genuinely do not recommend. |Whilst we loved the location, the facilities, over our stay for a week, the site organisation is so poor it makes the whole stay stressful and certainly not a vacation feeling.||One of the nights we went for dinner and waited nearly 1.5 hours to be served, not food but even drinks! As you can imagine in 32 degree heat this was completely unacceptable! Once the drinks arrived we were given no glasses, so my husband decided to purchase a can of sprite directly from the bar just to keep us hydrated whilst we wait to be noticed for some glasses. Funnily enough he was chased out by a waitress demanding payment for this sprite to be added to our bill! We paid separately for this at the bar already but what we found really comical is that she noticed this but not the fact that we hadn’t been served for an hour and a half and when we did it was with no glasses to drink from! |We paid for an extra parking space which we had used for nearly a week, all of a sudden one day they told us that this space was not for inside the campsite but outside in an open parking - none of this added up as the cars parked there did not have a sticker and simply I don’t know how they check who did and who did not pay for a space, so don’t bother. |When we first arrived we were asked to leave our passports in an outside box until the next day… I mean 🤯||Overall it is a real shame that the lack of training of staff and organisation makes such a well kept site and beautiful place something you would never return to. ||If you’re looking to relax and enjoy facilities this is not the...
Read moreBeautiful place and a great location with direct access to the lake. We stayed in a cabin which was simple but clean and comfortable. When it comes to service however it was shocking and totally ruined our stay. Most of the staff were rude and disrespectful. On arrival they asked us to leave our passport in what was a portable security box left outside all night, of course we refused! Only to have someone turn up early morning during our breakfast and chase us to immediately go to reception (half of our party had already handed their passports over when checking in the previous day). When buying a set of drinks at the pool bar, we were short changed by nearly 140 Euros, which we did finally get back after a load of kerfuffle and the staff treating us like we were crazy for even asking to check. Restaurant whilst it served genuinely lovely food, again was let down by poor management and staff. We waited over an hour and a half just to be approached for a drink which as you can imagine in 30 degree heat is not ideal. From then on we simply used their take away service and ate in our lodge - cheaper, food tastes the same and you don’t have to deal with obnoxious waiters. On the last day they decided (despite paying for a parking space) that we couldn’t park inside the park, they weirdly took pleasure and smirked while watching two 70+ year olds carrying a load of shopping back to their lodge (in 38 degrees) not even allowing them to come in temporarily - again no idea what changed having parked there for 6 days out of our 7 day stay. I pretty much have a story per day of where our day had been ruined by a San Francesco employee…. It’s such a shame as the campsite, facilities as well as location were great, however if you’re looking to enjoy your holiday, the rudeness of their staff and poor site management is...
