Our stay at the Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia - Curio can only be described as exceptional. The hotel with its naturally greenery is stunning and beach and sea are like something from a Hollywood movie. While the resort is on a hill which could be challenging, the regular shuttle service negates that. We never waited more than 5 minutes and used it from 7am to 11pm. ||We took the half board option (it was cheaper to buy it at the front desk during check-in) and in the evening it gave us the opportunity to sample a variety of great Italian food including some local Sardinian dishes. Breakfast had enough variety that we didn’t get bored by it.||The first of many surprises was how good the evening show was. I grew up with half-baked shows in Spanish resorts but that is not the case here. The slick choreography, special effects and singing were more what you’d expect in Las Vegas.||Our days were spent at the beach and total relaxation was achieved. The hidden diamond of the resort are the beachside classes run by Greta. Greta is one of the dancers in the evening shows and brings that energy to morning yoga/Pilates/aqua aerobics sessions and again in the early evening. Her classes are fun, adaptable to all levels and a great way to meet other people. I would say this was my favourite part of the Baia di Chia experience and I even picked up a few words in Italian (inspiro/espiro).||What elevates the Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia - Curio to “best vacation ever” status are the staff. There is a focus on giving guests the very best experience at all times and the warmth is genuine with every “bonjourno” and “buonasera”. ||A big thank you to the front desk team and especially Melissa and Eleonora. Melissa found work arounds for diet challenges, extended bookings (without needing to change rooms) and even planned out running routes. I suspect if I asked her to get me a flight to the moon and be back in time for the evening show then she would have found a way. ||We booked for 9 nights and extended to 11 because every moment of this vacation was truly amazing. We can’t wait to go back to the Baia di Chia Resort...

Not great - poor infrastructure

Not clear on website that this is a very spread out complex. After checking in we were told that our room was a 15 minute walk away. While we had a good view and staff will ferry you to your room on a free shuttle service it felt duplicitous not to share this while booking or during check-in. Instead they leave it to the poor bus boy outside to deliver the unpleasant news.

We arrived at 2030 and had a good dinner at Flow - a fish restaurant, we shared 3 starters and a main, had 4 glasses of local wine and the total was 110€. If you are hungry you would need to order more.

There is a bar near the pool, cocktails average 14€ each

We got back to our room around 0000 and there was no hot water - there was no hot water or WIFI for our entire stay! For a 5 star resort at 300€ a night this is unacceptable.

Unfortunately there was also a power cut in the middle of the night caused by lightening, this of course is on one's fault but it is clearly something that happens often given the staffs reaction to it. The power cut affected everything: Electric, lights, AC, wifi, door lock to room and telephones. This was very tricky, we could not call reception because the phone lines were down, so we walked down to breakfast and left our room knowing we were locked out.

Breakfast was okay, but there was no option for fresh cooked eggs or pancakes due to the power cut. The "help yourself options" were good but ran out.

It must be said that the staff are very accomodating and polite, and we would like to thank them for everything. Especially Alex at Flow and Jacamo who ferried us around on the buggies!

It is sad that the infrastructure does not match the staffs professionalism.

Really expected more. Sorry to say we...

Our recent stay at Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how beautifully everything was organised – check-in was seamless, and the team made us feel genuinely welcome with their warm, professional, and efficient service. The rooms were spacious, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, with calming coastal touches that perfectly matched the tranquil surroundings. Waking up to the gentle sounds of nature and views of the stunning Sardinian landscape was pure bliss. What really stood out for us was the atmosphere of total peace and serenity throughout the resort. Whether relaxing by the pool or strolling through the grounds, everything felt calm and unhurried – the perfect escape from the real world. Dining at the resort’s restaurants was a highlight every single day. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour – from traditional Sardinian dishes to refined Mediterranean favourites. But the real standout? The virgin Piña Colada – my wife swears it’s the best she’s ever had. Creamy, perfectly balanced, and served with a smile every time – it became a daily ritual! Every detail of our stay felt thoughtfully considered, and it’s clear the team at Baia di Chia takes great pride in what they do. This is a resort that combines natural beauty with genuine hospitality and outstanding service. We left completely refreshed and already talking about our return. Highly recommended!

The resort is in one of the most beautiful bays in Sardegna, with close access to a fantastic private beach with plenty of space between the ombrelloni and a handy beachside bar. The beach team are very friendly and helpful. Our room was definitely one with a (sea)view. It was very comfortable and the housekeeping team kept it immaculate. We had a terrace and even a little garden to enjoy a sunset drink. I'm celiac and my partner's vegan. I feel the restaurant could have been more attentive to these needs/preferences. For example, the waiters brought me hummus with bread or simply bread (both risky). On a much more positive note, the morning omelette chef went to a lot of trouble to prepare these with no risk of cross-contamination; I appreciated this. The kitchen did have vegan croissants and crostate but they were out of sight and customers had to request them. I feel it would be easy to display some of these in the morning buffet and mention that they're vegan on the little description cards. I also think it would be easy to offer at least one vegan option as a starter, primo and main. The restaurant Sa Mesa offers this on the other side of the road. Having said that, the chef did try hard to come up with vegan alternatives. A special mention to the navette team who are super helpful and friendly. Apart from the (easily solved) food issues, we had a fantastic break in a part of Italy we've grown to love. Grazie a tutti.
