Ristorante - Lounge Bar - Club Nautico Chia — Restaurant in Domus De Maria

Holidaying in south west Sardinia from the U.K. in mid June 2022, we visited this restaurant for lunch.

It is set in Chia, and the restaurant building is one level stone building, surrounded by beautifully manicured grounds. It is very tranquil here.

There is parking at the venue and as you walk towards the restaurant, you pass the venue's shop.

We were warmly greeted and given a table outside.

We opted for a light lunch as we got there mid afternoon and were set for an early dinner elsewhere.

We had a nice assortment of local breads to start, followed by deep fried assortment of seafood with french fries - it tasted beautiful.

We then had some nice gelato from their wide selection. Awesome.

The views you look out onto from the restaurant are beautiful - green lawns, bamboo plants and lovely hills.

Siamo arrivati al ristorante senza prenotazione. Abbiamo aspettato all’incirca 25 minuti, il che non è stato un problema. Una volta seduti al tavolo abbiamo aspettato altri 10 minuti prima che il nostro cameriere Roberto passasse a prendere l’ordine. Fin qui tutto bene. Non appena arrivato al tavolo ho chiesto a Roberto cosa ci consigliava come primo piatto e la sua risposta è stata la seguente: “ aspetta che entro nel tuo stomaco e poi ti dico”. Sono rimasto un po’ perplesso, ma anche questo va bene. Abbiamo preso un piatto di rigatoni al ragù di polpo, un piatto di bavettine allo scoglio e una frittura di calamari una bottiglia di acqua e una coca cola. Dopo altri 10 minuti di attesa sono arrivate finalmente le bevande, ma a quel punto il ghiaccio che avevo nel bicchiere si era già sciolto e ne ho dovuto chiedere un altro. Anche qui va bene cosi, anche se sempre più perplesso poiché erano presenti solo altri 4 tavoli. Dopo un totale di 20 minuti arriva finalmente l’aspettatissima pasta. Mentre le bavette allo scoglio erano squisite con tanto di bisque e fumetto con un ottimo sapore e una porzione niente male, la pasta al ragú ti polpo era da rimandare indietro. La “pasta” (porzione incredibilmente povera) era estremamente scotta, il ragù poco presente, e del polpo nemmeno l’ombra. Al che ho chiesto all’altra cameriera che ci stava servendo se avessimo potuto avere una porzione di calamari fritti leggermente più abbondante, menzionando il fatto che la porzione di pasta al polpo era esageratamente scarsa, e la sua risposta è stata la seguente: “queste sono le porzioni che facciamo noi e sono più che abbondanti se non pensi che siano abbondanti allora dovresti andare a vedere nelle altre cucine”. A quel punto ho annuito e aspettato per la frittura. Dopo 10 minuti la stessa cameriera è arrivata con la frittura, ma prima di poggiare il piatto al tavolo ha delicatamente appoggiato la sigaretta che stava fumando nel posacenere poco lontano dal tavolo. La frittura non era niente male, abbastanza saporita, leggermente oleosa ma anche quella leggermente scarsa. Durante tutta la cena nessuno è passato a chiedere se era tutto okay o se volevamo altro. L’unica persona che ha fatto ciò è stato un altro cameriere, un giovane ragazzo biondo che non stava nemmeno servendo noi, ma nonostante ciò ha dimostrato, al contrario degli altri due camerieri, professionalità, gentilezza e soprattutto molta educazione. Complimenti a quel ragazzo che ha dato una nota di positività allo scrauso servizio offerto durante la cena dal resto dei suoi colleghi. Il resoconto della cena è che a parte le favolose bavette allo scoglio il resto è stato di scarsa qualità, il che non sarebbe stato un problema se non fosse stato accompagnato da un pessimo servizio. Prezzo eccessivo per ciò che abbiamo mangiato. Purtroppo questa è stata la prima ed ultima volta che andrò in quel ristorante. Peccato poiché la location non era...

Booked for 4 person at 9pm and arrived on time. after our order was taken the first course arrived at 10pm - and just because we complained about it to the waiter. again, the second course arrived one hour later and after another complaint. worst attitude from the maitre that blamed the delay on the customers, saying that no one arrived on their expected time so the kitchen was flooded with orders all at once. if you can’t provide a proper service, the least you can do is be polite and apologize about it rather than blaming it on the clients. food itself was mediocre and way to pricey for the quality. i understand that in august there is a lot of tourism and the place can get pretty busy and hectic but this is only lack of good service and nothing else. i do not recommend it. only thing the waiter that helped us was super...
