As a Bonvoy titanium member, this hotel is definitely the worst luxury hotel I have ever stayed at in the range 750-1000 euros (four seasons, St Regis, Ritz Carlton etc). Please trust me, I would not recommend you spending hard-earned money to stay here, unless you are happy to spend a lot of money on a mediocre hotel. ||Even if it was pre-opening stage, for 1000 euros a night, honestly I do expect perfection or near perfection. But it was far from it. Quality of the hotel was far from top quality. At this stage during the pre-opening or perhaps even the normal stage I would think it is only worth 300-450 euros max a night.||Unfortunately there were quite a few problems with guest services and house keeping staff: ||First, while we were resting a staff knocked on our door to ask if there was anything in our room that didn’t belong to us when we checked in (which there wasn’t). An email or message would have been better. And I assume the room should have been checked thoroughly before we checked in.||And half an hour later two housekeeping staff knocked on our door and about ten seconds later without waiting for us to open the door, just entered our room and asked if we requested full replenishment of toiletries. We definitely did not request them. ||For turndown service we requested 7pm but after we came back for dinner the staff knocked on our door at 8:45pm. By then since we were back in our room there was no need. Most luxury hotels would know when our dinner reservation is (since the hotel booked for us) and the turndown would be performed automatically while we were at dinner). ||Lastly we requested late check out and it was confirmed by front desk at 2pm. However at 1:15pm a staff came into our room without knocking. ||Regarding our welcoming drink we asked guest services through the bonvoy app if we could enjoy it in the pool, but our message was ignored in the app.||The design of the hotel was beautiful, but compared to other luxury hotels the quality was not as high. ||I love staying at brand new hotels because I can enjoy brand new rooms, but I have never seen a hotel have so many errors for an opening hotel, even compared to 3 or 4 star hotels. ||The only good thing about the hotel is the pool staff, restaurant staff and the staff at the front door. They were very professional and courteous.||In conclusion, Edition should not have charged such high prices knowing that the hotel is not fully completed (no spa, no lounge for titanium members, lots of logistics and communication issues). Our hotel stay would have been acceptable if the prices were fair. But I really would not recommend anyone to spend a lot of money in this hotel unless you do not...

Read moreMajor swings of positives and negatives for this hotel.
Positives: The staff is super passionate and eager to provide great service! Location is beautiful. The pool area is pretty. The food at the restaurant was EXCELLENT.
Negatives: The service isn’t great yet. We left the light on for “servicing room” every day for hours and our room wasn’t cleaned once in 4 days until we asked. Someone knocked and then a second time on a different day someone came in our room when the “do not disturb” sign was on. Eek! People didn’t seem to know answers. For example, we emailed ahead to see about dinner reservations and were told we didn’t need them for the nights we were there. Then the first night, they sent us to the restaurant and there was a private event and they couldn’t accommodate us. And then they told us to go to a restaurant down the street, but it was closed. We also emailed ahead and they said the professional musician staying with us could play the piano in the bar “absolutely any time.” Then when we got there, nobody knew how to turn down the (loud) house music. And then the 3rd day someone had decided that he couldn’t play the piano. Service at the restaurant was very slow overall (eg, 25 mins for a green juice at breakfast) and so was the pool (always had to flag people down).
The spa wasn’t open yet.
They didn’t take American Express (and the Marriott credit card is Amex and using it for 6x the points was a key reason we stayed here).
Given the above, it was pretty shocking they were charging full price (2000 euro a night) during the “preview” time… when they didn’t tell us it was a preview before we stayed.
They offered us 10000 Marriott points for the lack of room cleaning, but that seemed like not a lot in comparison to not getting anywhere near the usual service at an Edition hotel.
The prices were more expensive than most luxury hotels I’ve stayed...
