Residence Mareblù — Hotel in Grosseto

These apartments are in an excellent location if you just want to relax and enjoy the beach. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and has beautiful clean sands and a calm clear sea. There are tent like structures made out of driftwood all along the beach so you can put your towel over them and get some shade. ||||There is also a massive pine forest right next to Residence Mareblu and pine trees all around, it's very beautiful and tranquil and we spotted quite a lot of butterflies and lizards.||||There is a small strip of shops and restaurants a 3/4 minute walk from the apartments, there's maybe 4 or 5 restaurants and cafes and a couple of small shops selling groceries.||||The hotel staff were extremely helpful and provided a transfer service from the train station (they even picked me up from the train station and took me to the hospital as I wasn't very well and then waited 3 hours whilst i was being checked out at the hospital which we were very grateful of). ||||The rooms are basic but clean and well equipped. There is no oven but there are 2 hot plates and a fridge and lots of utensils so if you're on a budget you can cook yourself a pasta dish and make your own lunches etc. ||||You can also hire bicycles for free and there's some lovely cycle tracks through the pine forests, we went on one to Marina de Grosseto, a lovely seaside resort, only takes about 15 - 20 mins by bike. ||||I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing beach break in a beautiful unspoilt quiet area. All the staff is lovely, explained everything we needed to know. We had a studio for two, it was very spacious. We didn't use the kitchen much, just to prepare sandwiches, but it looked like it had all one could need. Bathroom could do with some repairs, the shower cubicle leaked. Appreciated shelves in the bathroom though. We wanted 1 big bed and it was 2 beds pushed together, so there was a bit of a gap between. We stayed for 5 nights, there was no cleaning (would be paid extra). Would have appreciated some detergents so that we could wash the dishes or the washbasin a bit... Otherwise there is a broom for sweeping and even clothes horse, so quite well equiped. Our windows faced a pine wood so that was nice and quiet. There's a mosquito net in the window and you will sure appreciate that. You can borrow bikes for free. 10 mins walking distance to a nice beach, either free or with sunbeds. Wifi was a bit of a pain, only 1 person per room can be connected at one time, and the signal was quite weak. Early check out (9:30) was also a bit annoying. Principina itself is a tiny village with one cafe, 2 supermarkets and a couple of restaurants, out of which only Pizzeria La Terassa does edible food. Alles in allem war es eine sehr gute Entscheidung, unseren Sommerurlaub hier verbracht zu haben❤️||||Zunächst einmal die wenigen negativen Sachen (das ist aber Jammern auf höchstem Niveau)😊||||Die behindertengerechte Dusche (Appartement 33) ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, das Wasser läuft jedes Mal aus, aber man gewöhnt sich dran und dann ist es kein Problem mehr.||||Das WLAN ist sehr langsam und man muss sich jedes Mal, wenn das Handydisplay aus ist, wieder einwählen. Aber selbst das Upgrade auf iOS 16 mit 3 GB war in 2 Tagen erledigt 😀||||Die Klimaanlage des Nachbarn lief permanent und das Kondenswasser wurde über unseren Balkon abgeleitet, was ärgerlich und gleichzeitig gefährlich war (Rutschgefahr). Allerindgs hat Lucia versprochen, es zu prüfen und zu beheben.||||In Grosseto gibt es einen Militärflugplatz und dadurch einen sehr regen Flugverkehr über dem Hotel, was in den ersten Tagen als störend empfunden werden kann. Auch der Nachbarshund hat sich des öfteren zu Wort gemeldet und die Müllcontainer vor dem Hotel wurden teilweise ziemlich früh geleert, aber wie gesagt: das ist halb so schlimm und man wird dafür bei weitem kompensiert.||||Und zwar durch die vielen positiven Sachen😍||||Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig: in einer ruhigen Straße, je nach Tempo etwa 6-10 Gehminuten vom schönen Strand entfernt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und bemüht, und haben ein Ohr für Wünsche und Anregungen.||||Parkplätze sind genug vor dem oder zumindest in der Nähe des Hotels vorhanden - wir waren jedoch in der Nachsaison da. Ob es auch in der Hauptsaison der Fall ist, kann ich nicht beurteilen.||||Grosseto, der Nationalpark Maremma, Siena und weitere Ausflugsziele sind bequem mit dem Auto zu erreichen. In der Ortschaft selbst gibt es auch ein paar gute Restaurants uns Cafés.||||Es gibt einen schönen Garten mit Tischen und Stühlen, einen Spielplatz, eine Sonnenterrasse, eine Bar und ein Frühstücksbuffet - letzteres haben wir nicht ausprobiert, sah aber vielversprechend aus. Man kann auch Fahhräder mieten.||||Die Aussicht vom 3. Stock ist phänomenal, die Gegend ist wunderschön und sehr ruhig. Die 2 Wochen sind wie im Flug vergangen. Preis-Leistung ist bei dem Hotel unschlagbar.||||Wir können es guten Gewissens jedem empfehlen, hier den wohlverdienten Urlaub zu verbringen.||||Danke an Lucia und Ihr tolles Team ❤️🌤️⛱️🏖️☀️⚓||||PS: wir haben auch die zwei kleinen Geckos - die wir Giovanna und Gustavo getauft haben - ins Herz...
