Central Park Terme — Hotel in Ischia

This is not a 4 star hotel! Rude unhelpful staff, smoke filled rooms! No fitness suite or spa facilities open or in working order! Dirty pool, No hair dryer and iron in room! Fridge only big enough for small kids water bottle! Not a family friendly hotel! Corridors stinking of cigarette smoke! ||||We chose this hotel as it had a fitness suite…. Big mistake! No such thing! Just false advertising! There was a room filled with dust filled relics of old machines with no computer in them or handle bar’s! No plugs for them! All machines broken and no weights for the bench as the hotel does not allow weights in the gym! ||||No spa facilities as they were all closed for the almost 2 weeks we were there! Pool is filthy green colour with scum around the edges! Only cleaned after many people complained! The pool attendant is a bully! My children and I could not move in the pool without a dirty look or a telling off! Even when nobody else was in the pool! Traffic noise from main busy road ruined any chance of relaxing! Pool bar was only open for food for very limited time! One basic lunch of sandwiches cost our family €80! ||We had to eat when they decided to give us lunch! When we bought delicious food from outside to eat in the garden the prison wardens watching on the cameras gave us a telling off and threatened to throw us out!||||My childrens room was filled with cigarette smoke pumping into the room all night for 2 nights from air conditioning! They had sore heads and throats for days! The reception staff were rude and unhelpful and refused to give us another room! They hid from us giving us no answers to this problem! They just shrugged when we complained that nothing in the gym had worked in years! And all spa facilities were closed! They did not care and were quite happy to falsely sell facilities that were not there! ||||They are thinking of changing to all inclusive which would be horrific as there is no facilities or atmosphere to enjoy here! Only entertainment for an hour once a week on a Thursday night! Food was not great! Can’t imagine being stuck in here 24/7! ||||No value for money as whole place is over priced! This hotel has still not apologised, won’t move your room if uninhabitable and most certainly won’t give you a refund or compensation! ||||They are just con artists with no conscience or manners! ||||Avoid at all costs! So many other friendly, value for money 4 star hotels! ||||Avoid this 2 star smoke filled prison...

Upon arrival at the hotel it appears that you are entering a little oasis. Set back from the main road and a short taxi ride from the port, although it is walkable in about 15 to 20 minutes, we were pleasantly delighted.||The room we were allocated was on the 2nd floor, nice bedroom with a large balcony. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom and good space.||The breakfast the next morning should have been a buffet but due to COVID it had been changed to a 'tick choice' from the list the staff provided. All fine and very hot coffee.||Unfortunately it was after this that the hotel showed that it really was not a 4* hotel. Whilst in Ischia we experienced very mixed weather, strong winds and heavy rain that lasted about an hour before returning to sun and sunbathing weather. We waited for about an hour after one of these storms had passed before returning to the pool area to relax. Only to find the whole area covered in debris. No staff were cleaning the pool or the surrounding area and upon speaking to the manager to highlight this we were informed that he did not have the staff and instead if getting someone to clean it he would close the pool. All this time the pool bar staff were just standing around doing nothing.||We decided to look at other hotels and see if they too had the same issues. Whilst looking we experienced another torrential storm and took cover for 15 minutes. Once passed we continue to inspect the hotel Floridiana. Where we saw a totally different attitude. The pool staff were out hovering the pool. Pool area was being swept and loungers cleaned, exactly what you would expect of a 4* hotel.||We tried to inform the manager of the difference in standards between the Central Park and the Floridiana. He was unavailable/declined to come to reception to talk to us.||We decided to change hotels and checked out. Best decision we could have made.||In short, the hotel Central Park showed great promise but was a let down for a 4 * hotel. There are better 4* hotels nearby that take pride in...

We were really disappointed with our stay at Central Park Hotel Terme||||Lets begin with the Pool, which whilst travelling Europe in the July extreme heat, we were expecting a pool to provide us with a little relief, but the pool was extremely warm, and in my view considerably dirty, we understand that the pool may be thermal water, but there is no excuse whatsoever in not cleaning around the edge of the pool the grime and dirt, discusting.||||Furthermore, the pool towels are at a charge of 2 euros per day per person.||||There is no pool service for food and beverages.||||We were also charged 25 euros per night for a crib, we were told that everywhere in Italy these charges are applied, after travelling 2 weeks throughout Italy, not one hotel had charged us this amount of money for a crib. We were appauled with the reception response on exiting the hotel, she did not want to know about it, and said that the hotel is managed by her uncle and she was unable to help.||||If you are booking this hotel on the basis there is a gym, don't, the gym does not exist with any equipment that is usable, with a deflated ball, no weights and machinery that is broken.||||Although one of the Directors of the hotel was extremely pleased to see Australians travelling back at his hotel, we didn't feel that this hotel is welcoming to International Tourism.||||We also booked this hotel with my family and on booking request we stated that our rooms were to be next to one another, ||we were separated and noted that several other families were in the same position. We felt that it was mis-management, and the Reception Staff were not interested in helping us at all and we had to accept the room situation, as did another couple in the hotel.||||The walls in the rooms are paper thin, and if you end up with a noisy neighbour, it does not make the holiday very pleasant at all.||||I think that if your considering booking this hotel, look further, as on our walks we noticed a lot of nicer...
