Gran Caffè Vittoria — Restaurant in Ischia

Upon arrival (between 7.30 & 8.00pm), we asked one of the younger waitresses for a menu and were told that we needed to download the QR code shown on the table and look for what food and wine etc we wanted. At this time, the place was full up outside, hence why we sat inside. I noticed that another couple had asked for a menu and were given a paper copy, so I asked the main waiter for a copy and was also given a paper copy. After about another 2-3 minutes, he asked us what drinks we wanted and we duly ordered a bottle of wine and a bottle water, which another waiter returned with about 5 minutes later. We asked about ordering food and was told that we had to order through the main waiter. Whilst waiting for the main waiter, we saw another couple whom were waiting to order get up and leave after speaking to another waiter, so we asked that waiter about ordering food and he told us that the kitchen was shut and not cooking any food. We called the original waitress over and asked why we were not told this when we were looking at the menu and before or at the time of ordering the wine and water we had ordered. She thought this was not correct and went to speak to the main waiter (whom had never previously returned to us), whom came over to confirm that the kitchen was shut, and that they could only offer a toasted sandwich or a larger type of toasted sandwich to eat. Whilst being annoyed, we had already consumed nearly half the bottle of wine whilst we had been waiting, so we agreed to ordered one of each. Whilst the sanwiches were fine to eat, they were not really what we originally wanted to order (Lasagne). Overall, I left thinking that this business is poorly run from the top down, where staff don't communicate enough between each other, or with their customers on what the current status of play is, which leads to confusion and misunderstanding. Based on the experience of our visit, I certainly couldn't recommend going there, and would recommend that you choose one of the many other fine local restaurants to eat and...

My visit to Gran Caffè Vittoria was a complete disaster. The overwhelming stench of feces upon entering the shop instantly killed my appetite. The waiters were terrible, showing no interest in serving customers and lacking basic professionalism.

The ambiance was appalling, with a shabby interior and dirty tables. The lack of cleanliness was evident. The selection of pastries was limited and appeared stale. Even the cannoli, a supposed specialty, was disappointing, with a stale shell and bland filling.

In conclusion, Gran Caffè Vittoria failed on all levels. The repulsive odor, terrible service, and lackluster pastries made for an utterly unpleasant experience. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment and recommend finding a better Italian pastry shop that values...

Bar posizionato al centro dell'isola di Ischia. È fornito di moltissimi dolci che apparentemente sembrano buoni, ma poi quando li assaggi ti accorgi che non sono come dovrebbero... un esempio è il babà. Appena entrai con una mia amica al Bar Vittoria nel bancone c'erano dei babà semplici e altri con panna e cioccolata e decidemmo di prenderne uno per tipo. Appena li assaggiammo ci accorgemmo che non avevano niente a che fare con il vero babà soffice bagnato a dovere. Non era affatto delicato e non sapeva di nulla! Quello non era un babà! Per non parlare del prezzo poi!!! Un babà con un gusto indelicato che offende chi sa fare il vero babà é vergognoso chiedere € 3,50. La signora bionda che sta alla cassa è molto scortese e maleducata. Mai un sorriso, ho l'impressione che le sembra scontato che le persone vadano da lei. Ad un certo punto quando stavo per scegliere un pacchetto di gomme mi ha detto svariate volte di non toccarle e affrettarmi nella scelta. Certamente non invoglia la gente a comprare! Infatti non ci tornerò più! Almeno un babà se non lo mangio buono ad Ischia è veramente vergognoso. Ma questa non è l'unica pecca di questo Caffè! Dopo aver preso il babà io e la mia amica ci sedettimo al tavolino che apparteneva al Bar Vittoria e il cameriere con modi arroganti e sgarbati ci fece alzare, senza considerare che la mia amica aveva le stampelle e ci mandò via immediatamente perché li c'era solo il servizio a tavolo! Da non credere! Il servizio al tavolo? I tavoli erano tutti sporchi e voleva che gli pagassimo anche il servizio al tavolo!!! Non avendolo scritto da nessuna parte in BELLA VISTA io e la mia amica non lo avremmo mai potuto capire. Questo comportamento è stato molto maleducato nei confronti di chi, come noi, dopo aver comprato al Bar Vittoria, si è seduto ad un tavolino per gustare il proprio dolcino! Bisognerebbe essere più gentili e educati! Posto assolutissimamente NON consigliato!
