Stay away if you’re a tourist / don’t speak Italian. Staff are extremely rude if you are not local.
We went here twice during our visit. Our first visit we were extremely confused by the setup - the place looks lovely but ordering is confusing. We approached the lady at the register and was brushed away and told to go and sit down, we then asked could we order to takeaway, she gave us a receipt and pointed at the staff making coffees. We gave them our receipt and they made our drinks in sit-in mugs - however as the staff didn’t speak English we took the mugs to go and sit down instead of making a fuss. However before we could sit, the lady on the register started shouting at us in Italian, she then took the mugs off us and a weak cold takeaway one was given instead.
We hoped this was just a bad experience and visted again the next day but decided to skip the confusion and opt for sit down service, only to find the price of our order had more than doubled to sit at a table. We sat in the large outside area, where it was just us and another couple sat multiple tables away. Whilst waiting for our drinks a waitress rudely approached us and told us off for having a small pot of watermelon and water bottle with us. We tried to explain we had ordered coffees and are just waiting, but she insisted it had to be put away off the table. Despite us paying €8 to sit in here instead of the original €3-4 euro the day before for takeaway. I don’t really see who we’re bothering or how we’re taking business away from them when we’ve paid to sit here, and there is no one here anyways. 5 mins later our coffees were slammed down infront of us by the same women without a word said.
I really don’t know why this place has so many...
Read moreWe went there for breakfast, and honestly, the service leaves a lot to be desired. It felt like they were doing us a favor by serving us. One of my friends speaks fluent Italian, and even so, the waiter was impatient — which led to him bringing the wrong order and adding an extra toasted sandwich we hadn’t asked for. With all the delays, it was easier to just pay for it than complain.
Speaking of the sandwich, it was basically two slices of white bread with a barely-there amount of ham and cheese — you’d need a magnifying glass to find them.
I ordered an iced coffee, but it came lukewarm. I asked for ice and… I’m still waiting for it — and I’m already back home!
Another thing worth mentioning: they make you pay as soon as your order hits the table. I get that it might be for organizational reasons, but as a customer, it feels a bit awkward. If they’re going to be fast when it comes to charging you, they should be just as fast with everything else.
So, if you’re looking for a nice breakfast in Ischia, I’d definitely...
Read moreBeautiful seating environment and bar and food counter but extremely confusing set up. My husband went in and walked around and wasn't greeted at all. He sat down at a table for 10 minutes and no one approached him. He was waiting for me as I was shopping across the street so he wasn't in a huge rush but got up and came to meet me. We did go back in and had to go to the counters and ask how we should order. The girl at the bakery section took our order and then we just stood there and then she told us to go pay for it at the check out counter and then we had to clarify that we were going to be eating it there so then the cashier just told us to sit down and that somebody would come to us. The servers never approached us until the cashier told them to they were just walking around clearing tables. I saw another couple seated waiting and they waited from before we went inside chose bakery, went to the cashier and then sat down and got our things delivered until they...
