This was a very disappointing stay, so much went wrong from the moment we arrived. To avoid writing a whole essay I decided the best way to list out all the pain points were in bullet format below.
Check-in: The problem's started already the moment we arrived. Check in, as communicated by the hotel is 11am and guests could deposit their luggage at reception. We arrived at 3.30 to be told our rooms were not available yet. I asked how long. They answered 4.30. to compensate, they offered us a glass of prosecco. At 4.45 the rooms were still not ready which was incredibly frustrating after a 6hour drive.
Dining experience: The restaurant in the hotel is not spectacular. Most staff were not able to communicate in english which is shocking for a 5 star hotel. We asked for 2 eggs and bacon and only got one egg each. What really drove me mad was even after getting the order wrong, there was no sense of remorse but the waitress was even more arrogant. During dinner service the staff rushed us through the meal as if they were trying to get rid of us. Not very pleasant for a dinner worth almost 300 euros.
Rooms: The rooms are dated and small. There was a used shaver in my shower left by a previous guest which was not removed during my 3 night stay (it is probably still in the shower now!). The hairdryer which is built in did not work in either room (we booked 2 rooms).
Housekeeping: we left for breakfast in the morning at 9am nd took a drive out to coumayeur and returned to the hotel around 3pm. When we arrived back in the hotel the rooms were still not made! I called reception and asked them to send someone up while we waited at the pool. When we returned my father noticed the cleaning lady disposed of his prescription medicine which had half a strip of medication Left! Luckily he packed extra but this was quite shocking.
Check-out: the bill at checkout was completely wrong - although the rooms were paid for in advance we were charged for, someone food and drinks of around 200euros were charged to us - lunch and drinks we did not even order! This was the final straw and safe to say after i asked for the revised bill we could not get out of there fast enough.
Safe to say in summary this was a horrible experience, hotel is incredibly overpriced and uncoordinated. Definitely not 5 star worthy - from the quality of service to the rooms and amenities. Save yourself the hassle and don't...

The outside structure is nice and solid built, and the reception staff was very accommodating. The rooms… well.. they have plastic flowers on the tables, some random red small-patterned curtains more suited for a roadside inn than an expensive hotel, dusty ceilings and dirty sides of the bed. The bathtub had black-rotten and torn silicon lining. I got into the bath and then saw all this around me, essentially I was bathing in this rot, in was just horrible.
The worst thing by far was the restaurant and its fittingly unsuitable manager. Where in Italy do you eat bad? Almost nowhere, yet here the “chef” I almost feel makes some grey-brownish gooey substance in the mornings and then uses it as a base for everything. For lunch we some random soup with it, then gnocchi with a similar sauce and in exactly the same plate (speaking of class in food presentation) and then next day the pasta had it too. Food tasted like feet, literally nothing was edible. The manager explained to us that he was not from the area but “they” (he explained he meant by it the mountain residents) had three ingredients that they used for everything and just shrugged us off. When I told him that the scrambled eggs for breakfast were more suited for drinking than eating so liquid they were, he responded that it’s more like how the French do it, because they are close to the French border, so not their fault. Then he sarcastically added “however, you are welcome here” and walked away. We were charged the full price for the dinner that we essentially sent back to the kitchen, and we’re not surprised to be honest.
Hotel was basically empty, even though it was a high season weekend and beautiful weather. I think that their business model is charging the couple of unsuspecting tourists they still get triple what it’s worth to compensate for the empty rooms, and probably just waiting until the place goes bankrupt completely rather than doing anything to make it into a warm welcoming place. Oh yes, about the warmth - they don’t heat the hallways, believe it or not, and this is the spa hotel in winter! Do I need...

Teams first respond is "No" You will not hear sorry if they mess something Its medium 4 star hotel, its simply not 5 star experience at all Breakfast is nice but besides wouldnt recommend at all!
In general its clear there is just lack of managment, its like the owner left the hotel. Everyone are doing their job, but kind of forget you're a guest coming to enjoy and come on vacation.
Booked 2 weeks in advance the most expensive room they had and communicated that we need a bed for the child for extra payment. Arrived 2 hours prior and checked that its noted with the reception. Along with few other things we asked for in terms of room, extra towels. We get to the room at 15:30 and guess what? no bed, no extra towels, no room I desired and ask for 2 weeks in advance! I asked to get a room that they post online but got a room that is nowhere to be advertised online as the promised view is half visible through a roof, the bathroom has no window and asking specifically for a bath as we come with a child we got a shower. Returning to reception I was confronted with a receiptionist starting to compare what I said to his co-worker who checked us in like its a trial, no sorry was said.
We got to the room, I went to the shower and voulla- look at the picture of a huge clock of hair! made my experience even better. Housekeeper just came to bring the bed so I showed them and they took it out. Obviously, not actually cleaning the shower - just taking out the visible hair.
Breakfast and...
