Personally, I wouldn't say that staying in a trullo is a "must-do" when you're in Puglia. It seems a bit overhyped, although we really liked the charm of Alberobello (it was too early in the season to be too overburdened with tourists) and were glad we stayed in/near the town. This is a really good option if you do - certainly cheaper than many of the other places we looked at, and really spacious, comfortable, and tranquil. We didn't realise there would be two bedrooms so it's actually ideal for two couples or a family. Even for just the two of us, it was great value for money. It's not walking distance to the town which is its only drawback - but it's a short drive away and they tell you where to park in town for free (they also advertise a taxi service). Breakfast is served to your room in the morning for a small charge and, while basic, is quite plentiful and was a nice change from some of the huge buffets we were getting at other places. We felt like at home!||||The distance to the center of Alberobello is a 5 minutes drive, easy to reach. ||||Our "Trullo" was very clean and we had literally everything one needs - bottles of water, milk, orange juice, spices, zwieback, jam, cookies, even pasta and tomato sauce and all kind of spices. Then shampoo in the bath room, a washing machiene and a dishwasher and obviously all you need for it.
