We had booked this B&B for a visit to Alberobello near the start of our tour of Puglia, but added a stay at the end as well since we liked it so much. The room we had (No. 5) was huge and very tastefully decorated. The bed was large and comfortable and because the room was at the back of the building there was no street noise during the night. There is a parking lot behind the building and you literally just walk a few metres to the entrance.||Luigi, the owner's brother, tends to run things and is extremely helpful. When we first arrived he drove us round in his own car to show us the best viewpoints and to help us get our bearings. He also recommended a good restaurant and made the reservations for us.||The B&B's location is ideal for exploring the sights. It is a mere 6-7 minutes' walk to get to the centre. The breakfast is unusually plentiful for Italy and is served in a nice room at the end of the building. ||The only downside I can think of is that you might get some noise on-and-off from the car wash at the lower level of the building. However, since they do not start operating until after 8:00 in the morning, this is unlikely to be a big problem - it wasn't...
Read moreThree of us stayed one night on our way south. The B&B had a lot of things going for it.||Luigi drove us around in his own car on a quick orientation visit soon after our arrival and then at night again he drove us to our restaurant (I had a sore ankle and this was a godsend).||The room was very spacious, clean, quiet and had good WiFi and plenty of parking. Whilst the breakfast was basic it was quite adequate.||Luigi helpfully recommended we visit Polignano a Mare on our way down to Lecce and this turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.||The location of the B&B is excellent as town is only a few minutes walk away. All in all, thoroughly...
Read moreWe have stayed here three times now. Luigi runs it with his two brothers. He has become a good friend. The B&B is basic but perfectly adequate. The situation could not be better for central Alberobello. Unlike some places in the area, B&B actually means bed and breakfast as opposed to just bed and bed. ||A kettle in the room would be good, but there is a microwave in the dinning room that you can use. The wifi is quite good, although better in some parts of the building than others. I think that the fact that it's behind a petrol station probably puts some people off but as its on a higher level behind, I can't see...
