Loved our stay but we were there for 2 days. Here's the breakdown Cons: Not sure if this is common protocol for their hotel or if we were being singled out but we were asked to present our ID's and Passports. We stayed in a total of 3 hotels and 1 B&B (2 hotels in Italy 1 in Pavia and this one in Milan and a B&B in Latronico) The 3rd hotel was in France. No other hotel has required or even asked for us to produce our passports and they did not give us an envelope to claim a VAT tax at the airport (most hotels don't do VAT)so it was not for that reason. So if you're big on things like this with sensitive information please be mindful. Possible double charge on card may occur. We had to check in late at 10:30pm. My card was charged for the 1st night stay at 8:30pm which is fine its to be expected. Some hotels charge regardless of check in some don't and even if you had to cancel same day you would still be charged for the first night. However, when we checked in I told the man and showed him that the first night was already charged and posted but instead he double charged me for the same 1st night and the 2nd night instead of just charging me for the 2nd night only (This was not for a deposit because they did not charge a deposit when I went and I used my bank card ) he told me the charge would fall off by the morning. (Of course it did not and the 2nd charge ended up not falling off until I got back to the states 2 days later.) So be mindful of this just in case. If you like to bring back left overs you will not be able to heat it up. The rooms have no microwaves or minifridges (except for the cold drinks they sell in the minibar in the room)and the dining area doesn't have a microwave either, there is no restaurant or cafe on site and barely food spots within a 5 minute radius walking distance, and they only serve breakfast. So most of the time you will be buying food while you are out. Depending on who you can catch on staff some may be nice enough to heat your food up in an oven or microwave and other staff are strictly against it citing safety concerns. So they need to either add microwaves to the rooms or add a microwave or two in the dining areas because this is very inconvenient for guests. Check and make sure your room key doesn't access other rooms on your floor. This gave me a scare. My 2nd night I was coming in and me not paying attention (totally my fault) I scanned my key card on the wrong room (turned out mine was 2 doors down I misread The number) It beeped, I opened the door, walked in and a man is sleeping deeply in the bed. The poor man didn't even hear the door open. I back out crack the door because I'm completely confused where did this man come from! And then I realize the room layout was different check the room number on the wall and I knocked loudly the man woke up I told him about the accidental access to his room and to have his keys changed. This is a safety issue not everyone is as nice or honest and solo travelers are at risk. Staff should be making sure other peoples room keys can't access other rooms before new guests arrive. Luckily I was traveling with 2 other people who had separate rooms(but I didn't know of this issue until my last night) so if you're with others please test out each others rooms keys on each of your doors to make sure they can't be opened by others. If you're solo please be careful. Breakfast cost is additional. Clearly the prices change because I've seen some reviews say €16, €18 mines was €26 per person. While the breakfast was good with variety breakfast should be included for what you pay for the room. We went in late September price was $236 nightly. 6.This can be either a pro or con depending on preference. If you like to be in the center of everything or within walking distance of shops, convenience stores and places to eat this is not the hotel for you. For us it was fine. We drove everywhere in Italy and the city center was between...
Read moreOur recent stay at Milan Suite Hotel left us with a mix of impressions. While there were certainly some positive aspects to our stay, there were also some significant drawbacks that we feel compelled to share.
Let's start with the positives. The room itself was undoubtedly a highlight of our stay. Spacious, well-appointed, and offering excellent value for money, the accommodations were more than satisfactory. The room's size and overall comfort were truly impressive, making it a pleasant place to return to after a day of exploring the city.
In addition, the hotel offers a range of free amenities that are worth mentioning. The provision of portable Wi-Fi and power banks is a thoughtful touch, making it convenient for travelers who rely on staying connected while on the go. The availability of these amenities demonstrates a level of consideration for guests' needs that should be commended.
Another positive aspect of the hotel's location is its proximity to public transportation options. With a bus station just 50 meters away and a tram station a short 5-minute walk from the hotel, getting around the city was relatively convenient.
However, our experience at Milan Suite Hotel was significantly marred by a few key issues, particularly concerning the staff and the surrounding area. The most disappointing incident occurred on the day of our departure when we found ourselves in need of currency exchange. Unfortunately, the hotel staff informed us that they were unable to assist with this matter, and the nearest exchange location was a 30-minute journey away. This lack of assistance left us feeling stranded and inconvenienced, especially considering the limited options in the immediate vicinity.
Furthermore, as we struggled to secure a taxi to the train station, the staff's lack of initiative became evident once again. Rather than offering assistance or suggesting alternatives, the staff provided us with only one option—a taxi to the airport that came with an exorbitant price tag of 150 euros.]
Additionally, the surrounding area of the hotel left much to be desired. While the nearby public transportation options were convenient, the overall neighborhood lacked the charm and appeal that many travelers seek when exploring Milan. This fact, coupled with the staff's lack of attentiveness, contributed to a less-than-ideal experience during my time at Milan Suite Hotel.
In conclusion, our stay at Milan Suite Hotel was marked by both positive and negative aspects. The spacious and comfortable room, as well as the free amenities and accessible public transportation options, were certainly highlights. However, the disappointing performance of the hotel staff in critical moments and the less-than-ideal location of the property detracted significantly from the overall experience. For travelers seeking a convenient and reasonably priced room, it might be worth considering, but those who prioritize attentive service and a more appealing neighborhood may want to explore...
Read moreOnze eerste indruk was super!
Our first impression was fantastic. The room was beautiful, big and clean. But the first thing was that the neighbours kid kept screaming and crying all evening, you could hear it very good. Also they use a trolley outside for the laundry that you can hear very good in the first room. The next morning we had a shower, it didn't work as it should (the middle part worked good, the outer part where ice cold water drops while you are in the shower) when we wanted to go to the breakfast (which was half cold en there was almost no bread left the first day) we found out that our door did not lock. Also when someone took the card with them out of the room all the lights started flikkering. We asked for a different room and we did get it. Is was at the end of the hall and was way better. This time we had 2 Chairs in the room with a big table so we could eat the room service on there. In the other room inside was only 1 chair and a very small table. This Shower also did not work as it should but luckily the staff fixed it. The first day we had good room service, it was fast and had a good taste. The next day we wanted it again because we thought it was that good. So we ordered room service and it took 1 hour to get the first things. They did call us after 50 minutes and offered us free drinks and chips because of the wait time. That is really nice. The 2 pizza's where okay, the crust was really tough. The pasta was ice cold, the cheese melted all out of the toast, the cheese cake with red fruit was without red fruit etc... The staff did apologize many times and we didn't had to pay any of the food from day 2 and we also did get the parking for free. They really tried to make things right again but everything together was sadly a lot of...
