B&B L'Alberghetto — Hotel in Milazzo

Due to delays didn't arrive until 3am, no trouble, Stefano was on hand to offer a welcome and show us to our room. Our room overlooked the street opening french windows onto a small balcony. Although busy at times during the day there was no traffic noise problems. The room was spotlessly clean with maid service every day. The air con was very welcome in July. Bathroom was very modern with a large walk in shower and plenty of hot water, also a hairdryer. Although there wasn't a safe the apartments were very secure, guests have keys to the entrance which is always locked and the bedroom doors have good locks. Only 3 guest rooms on !st floor with Stefano living above. Breakfasts were more than sufficient unless you needed a full English. Fresh bread rolls, sliced bread for toasting, jams, sweet cakes, continental meat and cheese, yogurts fruit juice, tea and coffee. There was a large beach umbrella in each room which was a welcome addition as there were no umbrellas or sunbeds on the Milazzo shingle beach just 10 minutes away. Great location, very centered and close to the ferry station. A taxi from a train station is necessary (approx 12-15EUR). Breakfast is rather basic but it's there.||||Note: The ferry schedule print outs in the hall were not up to date, which resulted in our missing the ferry and having to cancel the trip to the vulcanic islands. However, the manager of B&B made up for this by giving us a sightseeing ride to a breathtakingly beautiful spot Capo di Milazzo that we wouldn't have visited otherwise. (Great job! Thank you!) L'Alberghetto est bien situé dans la Via Umberto, un peu excentré par rapport au centre ville, mais néanmoins assez proche du port (10 minutes à pieds) et des lieux de vie de Milazzo. Si vous êtes en voiture, garez vous (les places libres sont rares…) du côté droit de la rue dans les emplacements bleus (parking encore gratuit lors de notre passage mais payant plus tard en saison), les emplacements blancs (côté gauche de la rue) étant réservés aux résidents.||Accueil chaleureux de la propriétaire des lieux qui nous a donné quelques conseils utiles pour les restaurants et glaciers proches du B&B en allant vers le port.||Il y a trois chambres au premier étage. Notre chambre, avec WC et salle de bains privative, était très confortable et donnait sur la Via Umberto où la circulation à sens unique est assez importante dans la journée, mais plus calme la nuit. Malgré tout, nous n'avons pas été gênés par le bruit, la chambre étant climatisée et bien insonorisée.||Chaque chambre du B&B est équipée d'une porte de sécurité, de même que la porte d'entrée au rez-de-chaussée.||Pour le petit-déjeuner, tout est remarquablement organisé, un plateau petit déjeuner portant le nom de chaque chambre est déposé dans une salle commune équipée d'une machine à café, un réfrigérateur contenant lait, jus de fruits, yaourts, beurre etc..Verres et couverts sont à disponibilité. La propreté du lieu est remarquable.||Paiement par carte Visa possible.||||Très agréable séjour à Milazzo avec la visite des îles Eoliennes une première fois à Vulcano (marche vers le cratère au milieu des fumerolles soufrées), et une autre excursion avec une escale à Paranea puis à Stromboli avec l'observation en nocturne du volcan (un peu décevant…) après un repas (excellentes macaronis à la sicilienne) pris à bord.
