Panza e Presenza — Restaurant in Milazzo

We came as a large group of 20 people. The food was served very inconsistently – kids got theirs first, then drinks, and the last meals came when others were already done eating. Some fried dishes were fine and the kids enjoyed them, but the carbonara had scrambled eggs, no flavor, and way too much pepper. My involtini were completely burnt and inedible, yet no one apologized or offered to remove it from the bill – we had to pay for everything.

The bill wasn’t itemized, just a lump sum, so it was impossible to split it properly. The staff were polite but didn’t take responsibility for poorly prepared food or mistakes. Disappointing...

Milazzo, 20.08.2024. Locale pessimo gestito in modo pessimo e sopratutto poco educato. Stasera abbiamo deciso di trascorrere una serata cercando di gustare le specialità del luogo e pertanto ci lasciamo convincere per accomodarci in questo locale. E’ l’inizio di un incubo. E’ stato ordinato tra gli altri un piatto a base di pesce con espressa richiesta di non mettere aglio per evidenti ragioni di salute. nonostante le rassicurazioni del gestore la richiesta è stata puntualmente disattesa per ragioni di disorganizzazione. Il gestore cerando di ovviare all’inconveniente anziché scusarsi e cercare di riproporre il piatto, ha dapprima riferito che vi era solo aglio in polvere, poi ha riferito che per evitare sbagli l’aglio non era stato inserito in nessuno dei piatti ordinati. Insomma era diventato assolutamente ridicolo oltre che poco credibile. Ma vi e’ di più . Sono state ordinate due schiacciate da far arrivare come antipasti ma in realtà queste due pietanze non sono mai arrivate. Tenuto conto il disservizio e la scarsa qualità del cibo fornito di decide di chiedere il conto ed ecco che arrivano altre sorprese. Troviamo addebitate somme ulteriori non giustificate tra cui il costo delle due schiacciate mai portate ai tavoli e il costo duplicato del coperto. Troviamo altresì addebitata anche la pasta contestata circostanza questa che ha dato ulteriore conferma della pochezza e scarsa professionalità degli addetti al locale. insomma una esperienza da dimenticare al più presto....

Honestly, just go there if you are on a super tight budget (you can have "just a pizza" for ~10€, which has nothing to do with how italian food actually tastes in italy. Otherwise, just avoid it! You have only a few times in your trip to enjoy the real italian taste, and you better make those special, because you can't find the taste of Italian food in Italy anywhere else, and this is just at the level of ordinary Italian restaurants that are outside of Italy, even...
