This place offers you various eating locations within it. On the small street, inside and in a courtyard off the back. We started in the back but had to move inside due to the mosquitoes feasting on us. The food was good, but the reason they don’t get 5 stars from me is that my carbonara split, and the service was lacking. We got in early so managed to be served before the rush. The food was OK and there was no big waiting for it. However, travelling as a solo woman I appreciate not being given a bad table at an early hour in an empty restaurant. I was invited to seat in the garden but the table was the closest to the kitchen and I was bored by the aller-venue of the waiters and a very noisey fridge. Had the grilled Mackerel with grilled eggplant, zucchini and onions. It was delicious. Dessert was pineapple that was a work of art. Had great service, generous portions and value for money. Arrived here at 2:30 when it was quiet. Just before 3pm the restaurant became packed with Italians. Found this place by accident as the one with 1000+ reviews was closed.
