Casa Delle Grazie — Hotel in Montone

Discovering Casa Delle Grazie was an absolute delight. Set in a beautiful position with an amazing view of the medieval village, Montone, you are surrounded by beauty. Pretty gardens, filled with colourful flowers, fruit trees, and plenty of herbs that you can help yourself to. A generous vegetable garden delivering tasty zucchini, cucumber, onions and an abundance of tomatoes, plucked straight from the vine and delicious. Grapes are growing on vines around the gardens and olives developing on the trees too. Happy chickens, providing daily fresh eggs, great for carbonara! A most welcome pool and restful sun loungers to sit back and enjoy the peace and tranquility under azure skies, watching swallows and swifts soaring high. Each property has a front terrace, perfect to enjoy pastries from the bakery and the best place to sit and watch the graceful, colourful sunset. The night skies are spectacular too as it is so dark, just the place for watching meteor showers, satellites and spotting constellations and planets. Montone hosts great festivals and there are several including the film festival (July) and Santa Spina (August). A huge community effort producing delicious home made food for people to buy, sit together on long trestle tables, it is wonderful. The village has several restaurants, a truly Italian community atmosphere with a bakery and cafe both offering great coffee, cakes, bread, ice creams and aperitivo to watch the sun set.

Casa Delle Grazie ist einer der schönsten Orte an dem wir bisher unseren Urlaub verbracht haben. Wir haben zu viert im Sommer zwei Wochen in "La Catina" verbracht. Die Wohnung ist perfekt ausgestattet, und entspricht zu 100% dem Angebot auf der Website. Die Wohnung ist modern und gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das gesamte Anwesen ist sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet und top gepflegt! Die drei Ferienwohnungen liegen in einem ruhigen grossen Garten. Dieser bietet für grosse und kleine Kinder viele Spielmöglichkeiten, während die Eltern auf den Terrassen der Ferienwohnungen entspannt sitzen können. Der Pool ist sehr sauber, gross und bietet weitere schattige Liegeplätze. Er ist komplett eingezäunt, was Sicherheit für Familien mit kleinen Kindern garantiert. Wir waren begeistert von den vielen Extras, die Casa delle Grazie bietet. Es einen kostenlosen Zimmerservice, und gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis haben wir weitere Angebote genutzt. Unsere Kinder haben zum Beispiel einen Malkurs auf dem Anwesen besucht, während wir in unserer Küche einen privaten, authentischen Kochkurs absolviert haben. Ausserdem haben wir an unserem Anreisetag ein vorbereitetes Abendessen mit allerlei Köstlichkeiten vorgefunden. Wirklich traumhaft! Der Ort Montone an sich ist ebenso wirklich wunderschön. Ein kleines Bergdorf wie aus einem kitschigen Film. Die Bewohner sind entspannt und freundlich. Das Dorf liegt wunderschön und wirkte trotzdem nie überlaufen. In der Umgebung gibt es viele tolle Orte für Tagesausflüge. Wir haben beispielsweise Assisi, Gubbio, den Lago Trasimeno und Città di Castello besucht. Die Erreichbarkeit ist trotz ländlicher Lage mit dem Auto sehr gut. Aine ist eine bemerkenswerte Gastgeberin. Sie ist sehr bemüht, um das Wohl ihrer Gäste, super freundlich und jederzeit gut erreichbar. Sie lebt mit Ihrer Familie ebenfalls auf dem Anwesen, was Casa delle Grazie einen entspannten, familiären Touch verleiht. I think we have stayed here eight or nine times since 2014, that’s how much we love it. We try to come back every year if we can. Perfectly located so that you can relax by the pool or take the short walk to the piazza. Aine always makes us feel welcome. It’s about 25 mins drive from Perugia airport, so easy to get to. The beautiful little village has several lovely restaurants as well as an excellent bar/cafe, which is the heart of the piazza. There are plenty of other wonderful villages and places that we always visit when staying here, but for us none of them can beat Montone or Casa delle grazie. It’s a place you can really relax!
