We loved it! ||||There are so many small touches on top of it being an amazing location and apartment with the nicest family as owners. ||||Some of the things we especially appreciated:||||- having a reception area and someone (Marion is the best!) to go to and ask questions||- bus tickets and cable car tickets available on-site||- put your bread order in the night before and it’s delivered to you first thing in the morning||- loved the locker area downstairs for dirty hiking boots, poles etc ||- washing machine, dryer, iron room||- underground parking (sparkling clean!)||- quiet yet located right off the main road ||- maps and information on the area available ||- indoor kids play area ||-they will even stock your refrigerator before you get there ||||The genuine warmth and sincere friendliness of Marion, her recommendations, advice, and local knowledge were invaluable and were the highlight for us.||||Marion’s mom even gave us vegetables from her garden. We made the most delicious soup with them.||||Apartment is dated, though spacious, super clean and has everything you could possibly need. Lots of storage for all of your things and space available in apartment 4.||||Location is perfect. A minute walk to Helm cable car, couple of minutes walk to local pub, grocery stores, restaurants and small shops. We barely used our rental car while there. Bus stop in front of Helm cable car. All hikes easily accessible. ||||We will be...
Read moreThis was our second trip to Rudlerhof (we came last summer for climbing and via ferrata in the area). We had a great time and enjoyed our stay in the apartment (number 1) which has great views of the mountains and a nice sitting/dining area. The place is very organised, very clean and there is also a great area downstairs to store outdoor gear (with heated boot warmers!) and an elevator so you don't have to carry bags up the stairs. The location is fantastic as it is only a few hundred metres walk to the bus stop with buses twice an hour up and down the valley (they also have very good parking if you need it). The food ordering service is really helpful when you are travelling by public transport. The Alpinschule Dreizinnen Sexten office is a 5 min walk away as are places to hire outdoor equipment (including toboggans, snowshoes and both downhill and cross country skis). There are actually at least 4 long toboggan runs in the local area, all basically reachable by cable car... Thank you for...
Read moreWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chalet Rudla and Rudana! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms were stunning—beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly modern while still maintaining a cozy alpine charm. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, making us feel instantly at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the private sauna—such a fun and relaxing extra, especially after a day of hiking in the mountains. Marion went above and beyond with her recommendations. The suggested hiking trails were breathtaking. We also appreciated the tips on using public transportation—everything was clear and easy to navigate, making our excursions stress-free. The restaurant recommendations were spot-on. (Go to Kinigerhof!) Chalet Rudla and Rudana is a perfect base for exploring the region. We can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay in...
