The hotel is fabulous, from the rooms, to the general hotel decor, to the bar area, to the views, to the service, to the pool and separate wellness area, to the outdoor hot tub with views over the Sella mountain range. The hotel is fresh, clean, modern and elegant. No expense has been spared, from a speaker in the bathroom, connected to the television, to the bathrobe and slippers in your room, available for your use. I loved my stay! It was my third time staying in this area and this hotel has, so far, come at the top of my list. The reception staff were super friendly and were always available to answer queries which is really helpful.
I also took two sports massages with Karina, which are highly recommended. Sadly due to traffic, I was two hours late arriving at the hotel and ran 15 minutes late for my first massage appointment, which had to be cut from 50 minutes to 25, this was still a really amazing massage that focussed in on the back areas of the body. Thank you Karina, you are the best at your profession!
You must also go to the sky terrace on the fifth floor if you stay here, the 360 panoramic views are spectacular!! Please open it from 6am in the summer though, so we can get those amazing sunrise photograph opportunities. 😃
One small criticism has to be the food sadly, which was very hit and miss; some food was exceptional though and really delicious, it has to be said! Three things really stood out. I ordered tuna one night and both myself and the lady next to me sent it back with no replacement meal offered. The tuna smelled so bad that I don't believe it should have been served. The second thing was breakfast which, although plentiful, was a little disappointing. Fresh bacon and scrambled eggs were served daily, and despite being one of the first in the restaurant for breakfast one morning, the eggs were still disappointingly cold, and the bacon also... the hot plate they were served on is either broken or ineffective, please sort that out because I ate cold bacon and cold scrambled eggs on warm toast for three days in a row. 😆 However, the selection of cakes and pastries / biscuits was amazing, and if you like continental breakfasts then you will surely find something that you like. The third thing would be the buffet starters in the evening, if you don't get there when dinner starts then everything will have either been taken by the other guests, or be cold - get there early! Despite this, the hotel still gets a 5 star review naturally, because the stay was otherwise perfect!! Thank you so much, I will be back and look forward to my hot eggs...
Read moreI would say this is a good hotel, but not great. Especially for the price, I was expecting just a little more attentiveness.
They have some parking spaces out front that are free, otherwise for private parking there is a charge. We were happy that we were able to get a free spot.
Entering the hotel, the receptionist wasn’t there and we had to wait for someone to come to the desk for them to just give us a piece of paper with all the info without explaining anything or asking us about our stay to make it more personal.
The hotel and room are very clean, but our shower room had a very strong smell of bleach which took a day to clear up. They offer bath robes and flip flops which is handy for the pool. From the balcony, you get and excellent view of the dolomites. If you are a light sleeper, keep the door closed as the hotel is on a busy road. The hotel is very warm so it’s best to keep the door open to feel more comfortable.
It was a nice gesture to find dog bowls and some treats in the room for our dogs. We paid €25 per dog per night. It was a little inconvenient is that there isn’t an area for them to do their business, and when we asked the front desk if there is a suitable place, she only told us where not to go.
The breakfast and dinner are pretty good here, not wow good but pretty good. The waiter is too quirky and the jokes are too much for my taste. He seemed a little annoyed when we said we won’t be there for dinner the next night as we were heading somewhere else. Instead of wishing us a good time, he just walked away without saying a word.
Something to note is that reception is not 24/7. You won’t see anyone downstairs after 11pm. The pool and gym facilities close at 19:00pm which seems to be too early?
Overall it was a pleasant stay, but I was expecting the staff to be a bit more attentive and give their guests a bit more time given the...
