I recently had the pleasure of staying at Aparthotel Colombo Roma, and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home, ensuring a smooth and welcoming check-in. The location of the hotel is a big plus—it's close to many of Rome’s major attractions, which made it easy to explore the city. Whether you're looking to visit the Colosseum, the Vatican, or just wander through Rome’s beautiful streets, everything is within reach. The rooms really impressed me. They’re spacious, clean, and designed with comfort in mind. Each room comes with everything you might need, from a cozy bed to a modern bathroom and even a kitchenette. I was also happy to find that the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was great for staying connected during my stay. One of the highlights of my mornings was the breakfast. It’s a continental spread, with a good variety of fresh pastries, fruits, and drinks. It was a nice way to start the day, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. What really stood out to me was the value for money. The rates are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the accommodations and the convenient location. In all, I highly recommend Aparthotel Colombo Roma to anyone visiting Rome. Whether you’re in town for business or just to soak up the sights, this hotel offers a comfortable and convenient place to stay, with friendly service and all the amenities you need to enjoy your trip.

I spent my very first night in Rome at Aparthotel Colombo Roma — and I still regret that it was only one night. My booking was for a “single room with breakfast,” but in reality it was a full studio with a huge bed, a private kitchen, and a spacious bathroom. For €105, it was an excellent value for Rome. The hotel is not in the very center: it takes about an hour to walk to the Colosseum and other main attractions. However, there are metro and bus connections nearby, and right across the street there is a bus stop with a direct line to Termini. I actually enjoyed staying in the Ostiense district — it’s calmer, yet full of fascinating places: the Pyramid of Cestius, the Non-Catholic Cemetery where Shelley and Keats rest, and the magnificent Basilica of San Paolo Fuori le Mura. I also recommend trying the local Ostiense pizzeria. The staff deserves special mention. Giorgio welcomed me with an espresso, made sure I was comfortable, and helped me check in early. And in the morning, Andrea noticed I was having my breakfast “dry” and quietly brought me a cappuccino. It turned out to be the best cappuccino I’ve ever had — not just delicious, but prepared with such thoughtfulness that I still remember it warmly. Andrea and Giorgio are the heart of this hotel. Thanks to them, I felt truly at home in Rome. I highly recommend this place! 🤍

Nice rooms but with very bad quality beds. The bed was so firm that i couldn't sleep because of having pain in my back and on my sides. Also the one of the two beds wasn't so firm but it already was uneven... Cleaning was ok, not the best. Their kettle needed cleaning too. They had a green emergency light in the room so it wasn't dark enough to sleep. Also, they had the good intention of having 4 small water bottles in the fridge but they didn't write somewhere that they were a gift for us! A small notice would be nice. Another thing that we didn't like was their environmental consciousness. Everyday they changed all of our towels (we were there for 7 nights!) without having the option to keep them for a second day. Another thing was that their sound proof was veeery bad! You could even hear the neighbours coughing like they were in your bedroom... The breakfast was ok and we liked that their personnel were all very friendly and helpful!

A very good hotel for families of older children. The rooms are clean, cool in hot weather and family friendly with a kitchenette. With a supermarket 5 mins walk from the hotel, it makes it a cost effective stay in Rome. ||The kitchenette lacks a few essentials that have been available in similar hotels stayed in prior. For example, you need more cutlery, no classes or larger mugs for tea, no chopping boards and minimal cooking utensils. You are allowed to ask for some at reception, but they should be made available if you offer a kitchenette. No dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid or sponges (basics that should be there). ||The staff are lovely and friendly, but there were a couple of younger male staff on the desk that didn’t seem interested in our general questions about transport and were more interested in their phones. We had a bad noise complaint with constant banging and bombing from our neighbour for two nights into the early morning. I sent a message down complaining as it was disturbing our daughter and we couldn’t sleep, but our complaint was not dealt with or acknowledged. The bar was never open whilst we were there, which was a shame. ||The area has a good supermarket, a couple of places that serve pizza and a nice restaurant 2 mins walk from the hotel. The bus route into the centre of Ancient Rome is directly opposite the hotel (express bus number 30). ||A very clean hotel, perfect for families. Nice breakfast. We would stay...
