I stayed at this hotel just over a week ago for a work function. I added a pre-night which I had prepaid on the hotel website and then the additional 3 nights were part of the event block. When I booked my room on the hotel website, I selected a room with 1 bed. I was given a room with 2 single beds however. I travel to Italy very often and I know that those single beds are small and since I was only traveling alone, I didn't need a room with two beds. I advised the front desk right away once I got to the room. They promised to call me later that day/night to advise when they could change my room. They never did call...I asked the second night and same, no one ever called me to give any updates. Then, one evening the group of us returned to the hotel late, around 11pm and since our dinner was very l checked the room service menu to see if there were late night options and there was. I called for over 30 minutes without any response so I finally walked to the reception. to give my order. At the reception I happened to mention about my request to change the room to one with one bed (and how no one updated me on the status). I also mentioned that when my room was made up, they didn't replace any of the shower gel and I was left without any. Reception said that they would check on the room and have someone send the shower gel. The next morning, I mentioned again about both the room and the shower gel. Both went unanswered. I also mentioned at check-in that I was Platinum with both Starwood and Marriott, asking which number was better to give. They said SPG, so I gave the SPG number but no benefits were given to me. Side note: our group had some members that were vegetarian and for the meals at the hotel, the hotel seemed unable to give those guests anything besides grilled vegetables. We had two dinners at the hotel, for the first night, at least those guests were given pasta. For the second, they were given a plate of oven-baked potatoes. It was a bit absurd, the event organizers had asked about dietary restrictions so the hotel should have been prepared.

For this group we were all Travel Agents or travel industry professionals. It was a shame that the hotel left such a bad impression to us all. In my case, I really don't understand what I did wrong as the guest. I had asked to be updated about the status of my room type (which I had selected when I booked online)) and no one called or left a note during the whole of my 4 night stay. For the last two nights, besides asking the Reception twice, I was not able to shower with shower gel. My SGP/Marriott rewards status was also not recognized. I will leave a trip advisor review but I did explain thoroughly what had happened during my stay to the Front Desk upon leaving. This is a case of many different departments involved, but the same problem: extremely poor customer service. I couldn't stay at this hotel nor recommend it others, let...

I both stayed and worked at this hotel for 9 days in September. The rooms were clean and comfortable enough (though my door was not completely secure as it didn't close properly - I addressed this with staff though it never did get fixed).

Which brings me to the major issue for me - service. Having stayed at other Starwood properties I come to expect a certain level of service. The service at this hotel fell decidedly short. Though some staff, particularly those in the main restaurant for nightly meals , were very attentive and service oriented, the majority were not. They were aloof at best and acted as though they were doing you a favour by answering your questions, unsmiling. These things taken together suggest to me that this hotel gets by on volume, rather than service as the determinant of success.

Given that we were a large group both working and sleeping at this hotel, I was very disappointed in the level of service we received. Things such as wifi - which should be free in my humble opinion in 2016 - were difficult to obtain. Meeting facilities were fine - but the devil is in the details: tablecloths that were stained, dead bugs on the floor, detracted somewhat from the overall experience.

As a bit of an aside but a major sticking point for me, the chain touts its green practices, such as encouraging guests to reuse linens and towels. Yet, EVERY SINGLE cup available for room use and meeting room use was an individually wrapped plastic cup. Can I please humbly suggest that you revisit this practice, in the name of more sustainable, environmentally-friendly ones?

The food was good, though given the long working days we had, we needed to rely more often than not on room service. Room service staff were pleasant and courteous though difficult to reach - on a few occasions when I called they told me they would need to call me back - which sometimes happened and sometimes didn't.

We worked long hours every day - all of these hours spent in the hotel. I expect that as both a guest of the hotel and a business client, that the hotel would make every attempt to ensure that my needs were met. I don't feel that was the case at this hotel on this trip. I expect more from the Sheraton brand and the...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sheraton in Rome and it exceeded all my expectations. The hotel boasts a fantastic facility, a serene pool area, and well-appointed rooms. From start to finish, my experience was nothing short of outstanding.

The moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the staff who made me feel welcomed and valued. Their professionalism and genuine friendliness were evident throughout my stay. They were always available to assist with any requests or inquiries I had, and their attention to detail was commendable.

The property itself is truly remarkable. The Sheraton Rome offers a beautiful and tranquil environment, providing a perfect escape from the bustling city. The pool area was a highlight for me, offering a peaceful retreat where I could unwind and soak up the sun. The facilities were well-maintained and the ambiance was relaxing.

The rooms at the Sheraton were spacious, comfortable, and equipped with modern amenities. I particularly appreciated the attention given to the small details, such as the plush bedding and the well-designed workspace. The cleanliness and tidiness of the room were impeccable, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.

One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast experience. The Sheraton Rome truly knows how to impress with a wide variety of delicious options to cater to every palate. From freshly baked pastries to a selection of fruits and hot dishes, the breakfast spread was exceptional. The attentive staff ensured that everything was replenished promptly, and their service was impeccable.

Overall, I cannot recommend the Sheraton in Rome highly enough. The combination of its stunning facilities, a serene pool, well-appointed rooms, friendly staff, and delectable breakfast made my stay an unforgettable experience. I look forward to returning in the future and enjoying the exceptional...

A room was booked for me from Lufthansa as our flight got cancelled. After one night I am very sure that I’d never book this hotel on my own. The main reasons are: - The room looks and feels very outdated. All the furniture is old and full of damages. - The breakfast has nothing to do with a 4* hotel. - The minibar was completely empty. - The WiFi is limited to a 7MB/s up- and downstream. Unacceptable in 2023. - The location is in the middle of nowhere. There are no restaurants around when you are in building 2 which is far away from the „main resort“. The hotel restaurant was also closed because of too few guests. - From around 7am there was constant noise outside our door because housekeeping is stationed there and the door to their storage room squeaks loudly. Every time you thought that your own room door would be opened. Really annoying! - It's also a mystery to me why housekeeping tried to clean our room three times within two hours (9-11 a.m.). You should actually know that our room was occupied and wasn't available until 12 o’clock. Side note: The hotel seems to belong to the golf course next to it, and as a golfer myself, I was initially looking forward to the hotel when I saw this on google maps. Most golf hotels are in good condition and offer comfort but I would never book this hotel for a golf trip. Overall, it feels more like an outdated 2* hotel. The only positive aspect was the receptionist. He was kind and courteous.

I called the hotel three months before booking to explain that I would need multiple rooms as there are 6 of us traveling. I was assured by the representative that this hotel could accommodate two adults in one room and two adults and two children in another room. After checking in, we made our way up to the rooms. The first room for the two adults has a mildewy smell and the view is of the dirty rooftop. The second room for two adults and two children does not accommodate four people without eliminating the bulk of the space in the room. I returned to the front desk and was advised I was put in the largest available room. I also explained that the room for just the two adults was not satisfactory due to the smell. I was told there were no other rooms to be had (there was another gentleman complaining about the air conditioning in his room not functioning - he was now asking to move to a third room). He is also an English speaking guest so I was able to fully understand his concerns. I asked for a refund and was told I could not receive a refund, I called Marriott - the parent company - and Marriott asked them to refund the money and the cancellation fee, they refused. The hotel's condition is subpar and the service is not good towards English speaking customers. BEWARE and stay away - I will never stay at this hotel again.

This resort/hotel is one of the most run down and useless accommodation. I expected more from Marriott group. - Wifi is not free (barely getting any connection even after purchasing it) - Aircon kept making a some squeaky sound - Shuttle to city center cost 15€ round trip (most of the time it’s fully booked) - It cost 42€ to take a taxi to city center I was given a unit that was super dusty and filled with spider webs. Additionally, the door leading to the balcony was not lockable and the staff assured me that no one will climb to the 4th floor. 👏🏻 Went down to get the room switched and was told the vacant rooms are still being cleaned and will only be available after 1200hrs. At 1300hrs: Tried calling the front desk but no attended to my call. Went down and another staff told me that all rooms are booked up and they will not be able to make any changes. At 1500hrs: Went to have a walk in the hotel and saw some rooms being cleaned. After much persuasion, the staff managed to create some miracle and generated another dusty room for us. At least we are able to lock the balcony now. Overall the stay was unpleasant and lack of basic amenities. *PS* only the Italian boy wearing spectacles at the front desk is very helpful
