Residence Colombo — Hotel in Sorico

This time we stayed in the smaller apartment on the ground floor next to the pool. I'd asked for this specifically as it has easy access to the pool and it was just me and my husband this time (would sleep four as a set of bunks are also included). Air conditioned, separate bathroom with shower cubicle/wc/bidet. Well equipped kitchen/diner although no kettle (Italians aren't big on tea) although the little pan boiled in seconds! The pool and surrounding area are well maintained and accessible till late. There is secure parking in the basement and entrance to the apartments is via a keyed gate. Laundry facilities are available free of charge in the basement. There is a grocery shop within two minutes walk and an excellent bakery 2 minutes walk away also - the marmaletta brioche are to die for. Spluga is a must for great food and...

We stayed here for three nights in May 2015 - two adults, one child. Fantastic apartment - our daughter particularly loved the bunk beds! A great size, big bathroom, great view from the balcony, spotlessly clean & great kitchenette (including a full-sized fridge). Across the road from an amazing pizzeria - also owned by the same people - as well as easy walking distance to a general store, other restaurants and the lake itself. ||A fantastic location - nice & quiet - and a great starting point to explore Lake Como. Ausgesprochen freundliche Begrüßung und Betreuung vor Ort, so wie alle Italienener am Lago. Nett und hilfsbereit. Und mit einbißchen Deutsch, Englisch und Italiensich klappt auch jede Konversation. Die Lage der Wohnung ist wie beschrieben mitten im Dorf. Wer schon zuhause ruhig und im Grünen wohnt, freut sich nicht unbedingt über die Geräuschkulisse der entfernten Hauptverkehrsstrasse. In 5 Gehminuten ist man am Zulauf des Sees und an der Promenade. Einen kleinen Strand erreicht man in ein paar Autominuten und der ist perfekt für Surfer. Dazu passt die dazugehörige per Fernbedienung abgeschlossenen Tiefgarage des Hauses. Die Wohnung selbst (4-6 Personen) ist für einen 14tätigen Urlaub passend ausgestattet. Gott sei dank mit Klimaanlage für beide Zimmer. 1mal die Woche wird die Wohnung gereinigt und neue Bettwäsche aufgezogen. Der große Balkon lädt zum Frühstücken mitten in Italien ein. Da ruft der nette Nachbar schon mal ein freundliches "Buon giorno" herüber. Und zum relaxen gehts dann zum kleinen Pool, der täglich geprüft und gereinigt wird. Das gilt übrigens für die ganze Anlage rund ums Gebäude. Besonders hervozuheben ist die wenige Schritte enfernte Trattoria-Pizzeria "Spluga" Super freundlich, professioneller Service und nicht nur Pizza sondern tolle regionale Küche. Sorico ist idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge und Besichtigungen an beiden Seiten des Sees und nach Bellagio fährt man ab Tremezzo einfach mit der Fähre.
