Ristorante Biffi — Restaurant in Sorico

We went here twice. 1st time food was nice. The local specialty black pasta with cabbage and potatoes was soo nice, my calzone was nothing special but still okay, and the tiramissu was amazing, descent size portions too. However the 2nd time was not that good at all. My partner got like ravioli with cream and cheese and I got pasta with pistachio and red pepper sauce. My partner's dish was literally 80% cream and cheese and 5,6 pieces of ravioli (average size). Mine literally looked tiny(like a starter) like I am not even joking i was shocked like 10 bites and the taste was okay but still you could easily make this at home. Portions were not okay for this price guys. We also had the mascarpone dessert which was amazing again. My partner felt very, very sick after her meal so we had to pay and quickly leave the restaurant. We had absolutely the same food the whole day except for the creamy pasta meal she had at the place. She was struggling with very bad stomach pains and sickness the whole night so we're assuming there was definitely something wrong either with the cream or the cheese in her dish. So to sum up Ristorante Biffi needs to sort out the portions and make them equal to the price you pay and really pay attention at the products chefs are cooking with. Saturday night 7pm, no reservation, table for 3? "Certo", sincerely warm and friendĺy. Detailed and dedicated personal description of today's specials (photo) in addition to regular menu, italian, english, german. Still very polite in service while short interruption for a big family (with reservation!) had to be welcomed and seated. Taking our orders within first 30min and meals served within under 1h considering meanwhile almost completely full restaurant (at least 100). Very good quality and taste 4/5. Prices adequate not cheap but inexpensive for tourist region. Personal goodbye when we left. Wonderful evening in lasting good memory. Absolutely recommended! Would return soon if not 300km from home but who knows?...

Innanzitutto i prezzi sono troppo alti, fuori scala non valgono la qualità del cibo e i piatti serviti, 18 euro una pasta allo scoglio con poco pesce e piccante, da notare che sul menù non era indicato e alla segnalazione alla cameriera ci è stato risposto che la pasta allo scoglio è sempre piccante (ora che questa sia una verità assoluta non ne sono convinto, posso capire che in questo locale la facciano così ma comunque se c'è peperoncino va scritto negli ingredienti sul menù) 20 euro un antipasto di mare grande che era sufficiente per saziare una persona come piatto singolo però le cozze in guazzetto erano non buone e il resto del piatto un mero misto di buste di pesce da supermarket mal condite. Il risotto al pesce persico era davvero buono e il prezzo 32 euro per 2 persone ci poteva stare. I dolci buono il tiramisù della casa, e la meringata, anche qui decisamente cari minimo 6 euro per un dolce senza contare che da quando li abbiamo ordinati a quando li abbiamo ricevuti sarà passata minimo mezz'ora e nel locale c'erano circa 50 persone, quindi il servizio in generale è stato davvero lento (e i camerieri non erano in pochi). Da notare che esiste anche il menù del giorno per il pranzo in settimana, che non ci è stato segnalato né è indicato all'interno del menù, secondo me poco corretto verso i Clienti. Ultima chicca al pagamento del conto di 110 euro fatto in contanti ci hanno lasciato il preconto invece dello scontrino fiscale, son dovuto tornare a chiederlo in cassa.
