My family has been visiting this hotel for three generations, and our visits are always so special and amazing. The owners, front desk, and all dining and housekeeping staff are pleasant, accommodating, and professional. Our rooms are always comfortable and clean, and the meals are amazing. My wife and I traveled with our two young children (5 + 8) and my senior-aged parents. We purchased full board. Breakfast is continental, with fresh cappucino, hot cocoa, etc. made to order. Lunches include choices for primi, secondi, and dolci, and always include an expansive buffet for contorni. You purchase wine and mineral water by the bottle, and they mark it with your table number and store - then retrieve - your unfinished bottle for your next meal. The food choices are truly awesome. So many regional and creative dishes, amazing local, fresh fish and seafood offerings, with first-class execution, presentation and service. The dining experience alone is worth a one-week stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, sunny and open. The courtyard has olive trees and tables and chairs for relaxing, and you can take advantage of bar service as well. The pool is large, clean, and beautiful; and includes a baby-depth pool area. The beach is beautiful: you cross one street and you're stepping on the sand! Each room is allocated 1 umbrella and two chairs, with the option to rent more. Your assigned umbrella remains yours for the duration of your stay. The beach is always clean and relatively quiet, and never crowded. I just can't say enough about this...

Pools at the hotel are beautiful and the entire grounds are meticulously maintained. Sit next to the fountain while you enjoy a drink on the patio. The meals are truly amazing. This hotel could be considered a destination for foodies looking to experience the cuisine of Abruzzo. Tortoreto Lido has so many things to do in the evenings - especially for families. Nando, Orlindo, Andrea, Domenica, and all the staff are so helpful, welcoming, and friendly. If your Italian language skills are rusty (or nonexistent) they will cheerfully talk with you in English. This is truly a hidden gem for a family vacation - stay a week and choose "all inclusive" - you will be talking about...
