The other name that this place is better known by is Lampstand Stay Asahikawa, as found on Google Maps and internet search. We were passing through on a round trip around Hokkaido and was just staying for one night. It is actually housed in an old brick factory and rice warehouse, which has been refurbished and renovated.||There wasn't an obvious sign for the hotel, and the check-in is actually within the Lampstand coffee shop itself. You would need to have an ID and Pin code given to you at the time of booking, as only a few of the cafe staff are familiar with the hotel component. They are only three rooms available, each of a different size, these were on the second floor at the back of the building.||The rooms were fairly basic and small, with mattresses placed on a raised platform and relatively little finishing. We had three persons in our room, and the only way we could open our suitcases was in the evening when the door was closed and no one was going in and out. There was relatively little floor space, and the bathroom is a small cubicle in the corner of the room.||I will, given the space limitation, the room was adequate with a small kettle, hangers and everything else provided. The window blinds also worked on a flexible system, where you could have it completely opaque or partially translucent; Japanese-style engineering at its best!||The best part of this day was having the coffee shop downstairs, which supplied great coffee similar to a western-style cafe. Breakfast options were also great with many choices available, which was made to perfection. In the end, this was just a short overnight stay and it was adequate for our needs, with the great coffee being...

This hidden gem boasts a stylish café on the first floor, making it the perfect spot for both travelers and coffee enthusiasts alike.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm, inviting atmosphere of the café. The decor is modern yet cozy, with a perfect blend of chic design and comfortable seating. The coffee and pastries are exceptional, with a range of options to suit every taste. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable, making each visit a delightful experience.
The Airbnb itself is just as impressive. The rooms on both the first and second floors are spacious, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated. Every detail has been carefully thought out, from the comfortable beds to the stylish furnishings. The amenities provided exceeded my expectations, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The location is unbeatable, with Asahikawa Station just a short walk away. This made exploring the city and surrounding areas incredibly convenient. Despite its central location, the Airbnb was remarkably quiet, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing.
Overall, this café and Airbnb combination is a true gem. Whether you're looking for a great cup of coffee or a comfortable place to stay, this place has it all. I can't wait to return on my next visit...

My recent visit to Lounge Renga 1909 left me genuinely impressed. Located conveniently near Asahikawa station, this establishment offers a unique blend of café culture during the day and transforms into a cozy Japanese sake bar at night.
The rooms were immaculate, and the service was, without a doubt, top-notch. Our Japanese waitress was not only attentive but also incredibly charming, adding a personal touch to our experience. The fact that some of the staff could communicate fluently in English and Chinese was a significant advantage, making us feel right at home.
But let's get to the essence of it – the drinks and food. The coffee during the day was exceptional together with the toast, and the Japanese sake/ cocktail options at night with otsumami were authentic and diverse. The hand made sake-infused pizza was unbelievably delicious.
In all honesty, if you find yourself in Asahikawa and seek an authentic and warm experience, stay here at Jstyle Asahikawa. The fusion of coffee, sake, cocktail and a welcoming atmosphere hotel will leave you with...
