In total tried three types of room, one newly refurbished with private onsen, one newly refurbished without private onsen, and one very old western style without private onsen. I tried the newly refurbished room first, then the unrefurbished old-styled last. So I can feel the huge difference between (that's why i rated 4-stars only for the room). All of them are very clean, even the old styled one. But still, I highly suggest the hotel to continue to refurbish the remaining rooms, at least give a new toilet and bathroom, and new carpet. And if the price doesn't differ much, book the newly refurbished rooms. Restaurant are also very good. The waiter in the traditional Japanese dinner can even remember your preference and slightly adjust the dinner in the evening. The buffet breakfast are great, lots of choices, even some dishes that not in other hotels, like the Kyushu-styled rice soup. My family also tried the traditional styled breakfast, but seems not really worth. We rather have the buffet one. Have a snack bar in the lobby. Green tea latte there are very good. And there's also a toy corner for children. My son loves it. Have a carpark just opposite to the hotel Conclusion, very...
Read moreI made a last min decision to book this place and it definitely exceeded my expectations. This hotel was a real hidden gem and it was too bad I only stayed 1 night. When I booked it I did not expect my room to be the suite and is so huge! I also made another booking for my in laws it was equally new and large for the both of them. It was new clean and modern. The staff was very friendly despite language barrier. Every thing was great from the kaiseki meals for both dinner and breakfast. The in rooms onsen was great but the public ones were very beautiful. I believe if I come during autumn it will be even lovelier in views. I will not hesitate to book this place again when I come back to Kyushu! Thank you for the lovely...
Read moreDay 1 I believe that every hotel has its unique charm, and this one is no exception. Although it may not be the most luxurious, it offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that is sure to make you feel at home. While the onsen may be small, it provides a tranquil and relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Though some may view the hotel as old, I see it as a charming and historic gem that has stood the test of time. And while the food may be salty, it is bursting with flavor and sure to satisfy your taste buds. ♨️
P.s. The waitress with glasses at the restaurant is very friendly. 👍🏻
Day 2 I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet! The food was delicious and offered a...
