15 mins walk from 別府大学 (Beppu University) station. Traditional style rooms with a nice private onsen bath. Cold water can be added to the bath by turning on the extra tap on the wall. There is also a list in the room specifies what minerals are included in the onsen. ||The dinner was excellent, we only planned one dinner there so went all in and got the 7 courses meal with both seasonal Sashimi & Wagyu beef. It ended up to be slightly too much for the two of us and we didn’t manage to finish everything, which it’s a shame to waste some of such top quality food. It’s of great value though, definitely worth the price. We also got the sparkling pear wine for our drink option (we get to pick 1 for free). It’s super tasty!!! Although it’s seasonal, so may not always be available. ||One thing I would recommend is to double check with the staff about the breakfast options. Apparently, if you opt for breakfast, 1st morning staying with them you will get Japanese style breakfast, and western style on the second morning. But the staff got confused between the room names (each room has its own name) so we ended up getting a western breakfast on our first morning, which is slightly disappointing as the only reason we booked it is to experience the Japanese style breakfast. However the staff and manager apologised so many time, handled it very efficiently and offered compensations. ||Overall speaking, I am very impressed by their food, service, and the whole traditional Japanese settings, and would definitely recommend to anyone who would enjoy a quiet time & immerse in a traditional Japanese...

Stayed here twice for a couple of nights and very much enjoyed it, the property is really well designed and definitely at the luxury end of the market at a good price point. Although modern style it is very much Japanese style and maintains all the Ryokan elements you would expect such as the slippers, yukata, and the onsen, not to mention the mind-blowing multi-course Kaiseki meal in the evening. The rooms are very plush, tatami style and very muted and warm inside with an excellent outdoor private onsen bath overlooking the Japanese garden, a great place to enjoy a whiskey and relax. The breakfast in an impressive and large Japanese style and also they have great juices and free low espresso coffee. The evening course meal of kaiseki was sensational and we had the Fugu main fish course and Wagyu beef shabu which was out of this world. The drinks selection was also great, good range of local Shoju, Sake and other Liquors, we tasted a lot of Shoju and a fair bit of Yamazaki and Hibiki Whiskey all of which was stellar. || Great place for romantic couples or groups and Beppu has plenty to do both day and night if you are interested in great food and drinks. Staff very helpful and English is spoken to a fairly good degree, will definitely be...

We stayed here in March 2019, really enjoyed the experience and not our first Ryokan, very upmarket style small hotel, I believe recently renovated as it looks very new but still maintains that traditional Japanese feel. Rooms were large and in-room Onsen is amazing, there is also a large Onsen on the property for guests which I used frequently. The hotel is well placed on the edge of Beppu centre so its a short walk or taxi ride into town for great food and sight seeing. We had the breakfast and dinner package and it was phenomenal, Kaiseki dining is really something else! breakfast was also delicious and unlike many Japanese hotels this one also has great expresso coffee which is rare! Staff were very nice and English is spoken contrary to previous reviews that I read, I think Japan in general is accomodating more western tourists so you generally see more English spoken. Would totally stay here again when next in the mood for some relaxation and a change from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo without the hoards of kimono wearing tourists that is Kyoto!

**Outstanding Ryokan Experience in Beppu** My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Beppu Nagomitsuki for three nights, and it was truly a fantastic experience. The hospitality was exceptional from start to finish, with the staff going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The facility itself is impeccably clean and maintains a very traditional Ryokan atmosphere, which we loved. One of the highlights was upgrading to the dinner option—both the quality and the amount of food exceeded our expectations. The meals were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our room was peaceful and quiet, allowing us to relax fully. We also appreciated the onsen in our room, where we could easily adjust the water temperature to our liking. Overall, Beppu Nagomitsuki is a gem of a place, and we hope to have the opportunity to return someday. If you're visiting Beppu, we highly recommend staying here for an authentic and unforgettable experience.

If you have the money and want to treat yourself, this ryoukan is fantastic. Greeted by the friendly and attentive staff they explained the facilities which include 24 hour onsen, free coffee, excellent WiFi, yukata and slippers. We were shown to our room which had its own private onsen!!! Fantastic water that made your skin silky smooth. The dinner was astounding. Never had better Kaiseki before. It was modern and classic at the same time. Balanced flavors, really bringing out the taste of the ingredients rather than relying on sauce to create flavor. Outstanding would go just for the food if it was an option. Breakfast the next day was also stupendous. WiFi was extremely fast too, which let me do some work in the room between onsen and eating. Go go go go
