Cozy and comfy husband-and-wife-run guesthouses. Exceptional hospitality and cleanliness. The rooms are spacious with futon beds, a heated futotsu (godsend for winter), and tatami flooring for an authentic Japanese ryokan stay. To top it all off, the shower is onsen-style with showers and a hot pool (insanely relaxing after a long day of skiing!). I cannot describe with words how hospitable Aki and his family is, thank you for giving us a stay to remember.
Without a doubt, I would recommend anyone staying in Hakuba...

There is a bus stop nearby and parking space in front of the hostel. We recommend you to buy some home-grown rice from the hostel host as the souvenir. 1 kilogram is only 300 yen, and the packaging is...
