Red Door Lodge Hakuba — Hotel in Hakuba

We booked the Red Door Lodge based on the already great reviews we had read and we weren’t disappointed. We were looking for somewhere with a family room or two adjoining rooms and Red Door gave us the perfect option: a family room where the kids were in an open-plan loft accessed by a ladder- they had their own space as did we. En-suite for us all to share. The room was basic but all we needed. A fridge for storing groceries in the room was great. Breakfast each morning prepared by James was fantastic! He cooks an excellent bacon on eggs to your preference. The communal drying room for your snow gear at the end of a wet day was really great too. |Nic and Alex could not be more welcoming hosts; collecting us from the train station on arrival and an inclusive supermarket stop off and advising us on which places to eat at each evening (Pizzakaya was our favourite) and made the bookings each night. |Thanks Nicola, Alex and James for your fantastic hospitality. Looking for accommodation in Hakuba? This place is great! It is very reasonably priced and your accommodation can be easily tailored to suit your group requirements. For families or a groups of friends, the Red Door lodge is in a great location, close to Hakuba Goryu snow resort and Nicola, Alex and James are the best hosts you could ask for! You will have your own dining table in their dining area and they will make you some of the best bacon, eggs and toast you have ever had!

The atmosphere of the area is like a fairly tale in winter when its snowing. Its an absolutely amazing. It is close to several pubs and restaurants that serve great food. It is also easy to get around on the buses in the area (for a reasonable price too). I highly recommend...

Our first time to Hakuba and James picks us up from Escal Plaza on time with a smile and the service never lowers from there. When we arrived to Red Door Lodge 5 minutes from our pick up Nicola and Alex were there to greet you with a big smile. The rooms were good size with 2 levels and nice and warm. Nicola, Alex and James went out of their way to help you with any request. I would highly recommend Red Door Lodge to anything that I talk to about our stay in Hakuba.
