Richmond Hotel Hamamatsu — Hotel in Hamamatsu

Stayed for 3 nights while touring Nagoya through to Shizuoka. ||Chose this hotel as I am a member. Not sure what benefits do I get as a foreigner but I think I can accumulate points for future use. ||Checkin was a breeze. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Minimal English is spoken. ||There is paid parking around the hotel. The room was a twin room with ample space for a large suitcase. Room was clean n came with free coffee and tea bags. Room was facing the traffic but the noise level was minimal. ||There is quite a lot of restaurants about 400m in the bustling nightlife street. The JR station is about 950m walking distance.||Daiwa Roynet hotel has a much closer location to the JR station if you don’t drive.||The Okura Act hotel has one of the best view if you willing to splurge on the top floors. we only spent 1 night here for a world cup game in shizuoka, so were only planning to come in by rail, check in and drop off luggage then come back to sleep and leave by rail the next morning, ||||hotel was booked due to proximity to train line and price.||||judging from the pics before hand it looked clean and no frills, thats probably how id describe it.||||only annoying part was the usb plug was built into the headboard. this means your charger is sticking into your pillow when you are sleeping which if you move will pull your phone off the shelf onto your head when you are sleeping. We stayed two nights and parking the car in the parking tower was no problem.||A walk to the station takes about fifteen minutes and there are many restaurants in the area.||Room was spacious enough for a twin room and internet was fast. Staff friendly, but a member I was asked and supported to use the machine at check in. I have nothing against the machines, but they might have a negative effect on the number of staff.||The breakfast is in an external restaurant and the quality was adequate.
