The best guest house in all of Japan. Beautiful and quiet surroundings, not too far from the center of Osaka, about 20 minutes by train. The house has a true Japanese atmosphere with a common area for talking, cooking, and relaxing. For those needing more privacy, there are self-sufficient rooms available with their own kitchen and bathroom. An invaluable and surprisingly under-advertised aspect is the hospitality of the host. We stayed 9 nights in makoto's guesthouse, and it was a pleasure. He drew us a map of the surroundings, which was very practical to find food and other things.
There are always other people in his guesthouse, coming from all over the world, so if you like exchanging with other travelers, it's a very good place.
