Great food and an easy stay. The building is a former ryokan so the rooms are a little older but it's got a great retro japanese feel.

We had a wonderful time because the owner gave us reccomendations for the area including a local sake brewery, a special tasting event happening near by and an amazing breakfast near izumo shrine the next morning.

We also got to enjoy music from local artists while we ate dinner. One day was not enough, can't wait to...

Convenient location, just a short 5 minutes walk from the train / bus station. Common area in separate building felt welcoming. The staff cooked a great dinner for the guests, and that was both fun and good value. 3-futon dorm room was very clean, but the floor was quite cold, and mattress perhaps a little too thin, as was the pillow. Overall, maybe a tiny bit expensive for comparable dorm-style accommodation in Japan, but good...
