Sun Royal Hotel Kameoka Station — Hotel in Kameoka

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The hotel is quite new with very clean rooms that are have all the modern day amenities you’ll need. I stayed on the 6th floor. There were two elevators that got a little busy sometimes. The rooms have a USB plug with complimentary coffee and tea. The hotel is a bit out of the way (about a 20 minute train ride from Kyoto Station). There is not a lot around the hotel as it is out in the countryside but it is very very quiet. The breakfast was very good but they moderated how many people are in the room at once. Breakfast starts at 6:45 and you will almost certainly be standing in a line waiting to enter by 7:00. I didn’t like that there were empty seats and they kept people waiting. There is a public bath but you have to pay extra for it. One person from our group tried it and said it was great and updated with an outdoor bath (rotenburo). I actually really liked this hotel but I think the location would turn people off. I like this hotel. The beds in Japan are really firm basically like a floor. Sun Royal has a decent bed and like most of the hotels in Japan the restroom is great and the toilets are awesome. Can we say BIDET! My one complaint is the buffet breakfast and their dinner. I had such wonderful food in Kyoto that it was subpar compared to everything else. 当方50泊前後はお世話になっている者です。

2020年にサンガスタジアム利用客向けにオープンした宿。 当初は大浴場が有料で、よくあるビジネスホテルの域を出ませんでした。しかし、京都の旅行支援の時あたりに宿泊者向けに大浴場を無料化してから神ホテルに。 本当は教えたくないのですが、ここの口コミはかなり高評価なので隠す必要もないかなと思いました。

まずサウナ付きの大浴場。これが入り放題。大抵の宿が不可能な朝も入れます。朝・夜と整えていけます。 リラグゼーションスペースは深夜料金を払って寝泊まりも可能です。泊っていけるスーパー銭湯のような施設といえます。

要はこの単体でも利用できる、換言すれば「単体で商品化されている休憩スペース＋サウナ付き大浴場」が宿泊客は無料で利用できるのです。

価格はビジネスホテルとしては標準的な土日で8000円程度。しかも万年変化なし。ここからキャンペーンでお得になることはあっても高くなったことは現時点でありません。 駅・バスターミナルが近く、観光施設（サンガスタジアム＋保津川下り）のアクセスが良い。いうことなし。京都観光の拠点としても十分。

ただ難点は、駐車場。近くの駐車場が取り合いになりやすく、遠くの駐車場に止めないといけないことも。雨の日は大変です。 車で来るか公共交通で来るかで評価のランクが星１つは変わると思います。

まとめ ■長所 ・観光地＆駅のアクセス良好。拠点性が高い。 ・別売りしているレベルの浴場が宿泊客は無料 ・朝食が無料（必ず付属） ・前の公園で低くない頻度でキッチンカーが沢山やってくる ・数は多くはないが漫画読み放題（ワンピース、キングダム等） ・大浴場→レストラン→漫画読み放題みたいなムーブも可能 ・価格変動なし。キャンペーンでさらにお得になることはある。 ・隠しメニューのアザレアのテイクアウトがコスパかなり良い
