Lodge Cowbell Niseko — Hotel in Kutchan

Positive: Comfortable room, a few restaurants and a convenience store within walking distance, plus the bus stop was also within walking distance, making travelling by bus very easy. Mr Satou is very welcoming and friendly, lots of local information and advice given by him. He also always offered to drive to the ski lifts every morning and drive to and from the station upon arrival and departure. The accommodation is simple, but has all you need for a short stay, especially as the majority of time is spent out on the mountain anyway. The room was a good size, with a good size private shower/bathroom and separate toilet room, good size hanger bar for drying clothes and a gas heater. Definitely recommend Lodge Cowbell for staying in the Hirafu area.. Negative: I had no issues, problems or dislikes in regards to the property, its location, cleanliness or facilities. Our second time staying at the Lodge Cowell and we will continue to come, stay and visit the host. He has gain our hearts. His kindness and hospitality is beyond measure. He has always make our stay so warming and cozy. He is so caring for his guest that he kindly picks you up from the station and drops you off at the ski resort.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I stayed with my family -a total of 4 people in comfortable and cozy Japanese futons with very warm blankets/duvet and our private bathroom.

The lodge is near by midtown Niseko and grand Hirafu. We walked a couple times around to near by restaurants. The bus stop is only a 2-3 minutes from the lodge.

I love this humble, cozy and warm lodge own with a very sweet and kind family.

Positive: The host was super friendly and incredibly helpful - picking us up from the bus stop, taking us up the mountain and into nearby Kutchan Town for dinner, explaining the bus timetable and providing suggestions. The room itself was large with comfortable futons and ensuite. The property was close to Niseko Hirafu (a 5 minute drive / 30 minute walk), set off the main road, with a 7/11 on the corner with the main road(about 150m from the front door).
