I stayed her with my partner for three nights as we wanted to spend a fair bit of time at Nagashima Spaland and the other attractions in the area. Unlike some other theme park hotels, Hotel Hanamizuki was pretty much a proper ryokan which happened to be located next to the grounds of the theme park. However due to the sheer amount of rooms, meals are always served in their various restaurants and not in your bedroom. ||||Aside from being directly connected to the theme park (i.e. you can walk right into the park form the hotel) another benefit of staying here is that hotel guests get to enter the theme park 10 minutes before opening time, making it easier to get to the more popular attractions within the park. ||||The rooms themselves were extremely spacious and we were fortunate enough to be allocated a room on the highest floor, with sweeping views of the theme park itself. One would think that the theme park would make things noisy but I couldn't hear a thing from within the room itself. Each room has its own bathroom with water flowing directly from the hot springs. However I would highly, highly recommend the public bath 'Taki no yu' located on the ground floor of the hotel itself. Upon finishing your bath, you are offered some tea (your choice of hot or cold) which is also a nice touch.||||The meals were absolutely delicious. Your first dinner/breakfast is always Japanese cuisine but if you stay more than one night, on the subsequent days they let you choose either Western or Japanese options. We chose to alternate our meals and found that the Japanese breakfast was more light and healthy whilst being very filling. Whilst the Japanese dinners were beautiful and fresh, I was extremely and pleasantly surprised by the Western dinner menu which consisted of French cuisine. The menu each day/night is different and you do not get a choice of menu items, however I assure you that you won't be...
Read moreWe booked here mainly for the water park and rides right next door. But the hotel was extremely good. We had a japanese room. Very good size. Main room was big enough for 4-5 tatami. There is another small room good enough for2 tatami. And another living room with sofa chairs which i liked as I cannot sit on the floor all the time. ||Two onsen in the facility. The hotel onsen, smaller, with 2-3 hot springs inside. The bigger one, belongs to the resort, is a 3 min indoor walk. Much bigger, 9 hot springs but more people. The best experience, to us as tourists, was the big cafeteria upstairs. With food n beer and Japanese lady singing. Quite relaxing to eat casually with family n friend after dinner the onsen. A must try!||We booked the package which included breakfast and dinner. Must try the japanese ryori dinner which was served inside your room. Food not exactly our taste but good quality. Enjoyable experience. The western dinner was also very good. Food was nice. ||The park. Water park was full of people the day we went. Queuing took easily 45 mins per time. The next day was quite windy and much less people but not all slides were opened. The rides—no queuing at all i guess because it’s too hot and the rides are there throughout the yr while the water park is only opened for a few months in summer. ||Last but not the least, staff was excellent. Very good service. The place not full of tourists (yet). Overall highly recommended!! And must spend more time there to...
Read moreHotel Hanamizuki (Hana means Flower, mizu means Water, Ki means Wood) is located at Nagashima Spa Land. It's 30mins drive from Nagoya airport. I stayed there with my parents, my husband and our twin girls||||The staff there are extremely nice. Their English is not good. My dad knows Japanese so we didn't have a problem checking in. Our room was a Japanese style Tatami room. It got a private toilet, and a private bathroom. In the evening the staff would arrange the futon for us. Our room rate included breakfast and dinner. We booked our dinner at 7pm. The lady there spoke perfect English . They send us to have dinner in a private room. As we have 2 babies with us. They already arranged high chair and kids utensils once we arrived the restaurant . The high chair is a baby high chair. Our babies are just 8 months so it is perfect for them. The Japanese set dinner was excellent. I have ever tasted such a delicious Japanese dinner before. There were so many food, I didn't think I could finish it but I still managed to finish it because it was just too yummy!||||The hotel spring is on the ground floor. Again they provided baby bathtub so we could bath the babies in the public bath . Of course we didn't put them in the hotspring.||||The hotel is connected to the Nagashima spa land (amusement park). The anpanman museum is inside the park. When we check in the hotel gave us a free pass so we can enter the amusement park...
