L❤️ve Nagashima Spa Land!!! Japan's largest amusement park lives up to the hype...it's expansive and its rides unmatched!!!
An unbeatable recreational destination for families, rollercoaster enthusiasts and thrill-seekers, NSL is home to some 60 attractions, from tame, kid-friendly to utterly insane options, that are sure to keep the young and the young-at-heart enthralled and engaged.
Had planned a two-day visit cuz we knew once would never be enough! Also, weather condition (be it snow, rain, or strong winds, could be a show-stopper anytime. True enough, strong winds on Day 2 resulted in the suspension of Steel Dragon 2000 which prompted us to make a 3rd trip as we hadn't had enough of it!!!
Nice of NSL to hand out two Steel Dragon 2000 priority vouchers (valid now through Dec 30, 2025) to make up for the suspension of SD2000
What a mind-blowing, exhilarating experience riding on the record-breaking Steel Dragon 2000 and world-class wood/steel Hybrid Coaster Hakugei (White Whale)!!! Steel 4D Spin Coaster Arashi, Ultra Twister and Steel -Flying Acrobat and Steel - Pipeline Ultra Twister were excitingly superb, too! Having ridden on these high-adrenaline coasters multiple times over really got our money's worth!!!
Long lines between 30- and 75-minute wait for popular rides on weekdays when we visited (expect longer queue during good weather too); fortunately the lines moved fairly quickly. Single-use priority passes @¥1000 each are a good option for those wanting to maximize time and ride more (Note: Passes are limited, while stocks last).
With long queues and so little time before the park's closure, completing every thrill attraction that's in operation was a challenge. We've packed as many rides as possible in a short timeframe yet we had to forgo the retro coasters this round. Shuttle Loop, Corkscrew, Ultra Twister and Jet Coaster were either closed during our visits or we're simply out of time! Nonetheless, the entire experience has been a joyous sensory overload!!!
When it comes to thrill rides, NSL has set the bar high in its attractions, and exceeded our expectations. For a fun day (or two) with family and friends, be sure NOT to skip this amusement park! And remember to bring souvenirs or gifts home!
Fall '25 Returning to NSL is absolutely exhilarating! The amusement park is bustling with visitors and activities this season. We've had 💯 a whale of a time riding Steel Dragon 2000 and Hakugei countless times while soaking in the Halloween atmosphere! The use of 2 x complimentary SD2000 priority vouchers (gotten from last trip) and additional priority passes at ¥1000/ticket is "game-changing" for us to beat the insanely long line (especially when large groups of students join in) and sizzling temperatures!
We've had a real blast👍👍👏👏💪💪 Yeah, we can't...
Read moreWe had such an awesome experience at Nagashima Spa Land! Took us a while to find where the bus was from Nagoya station but made it there in the end, and the busses run frequently so you don’t have to stress much on how you’ll get back to your accommodation. We got there around noon and left just after 5 pm which felt like plenty of time and that we got our money’s worth.
Entrance fee is so cheap for unlimited rides (5,200 ¥ = $63 CAD) and seems like western tourists haven’t caught on yet as we were the tallest people there! Went on a Saturday and we were amazed at how few people there were. Only had to line up for the arashi, Acrobat and the Steel dragon which were so much fun. They warn you about getting wet on the acrobat but we didn’t at all. For reference my partner is 6’3” and I’m 5’9” and a little thicker through the hips, which lead to a bit of a tight squeeze on the Steel Dragon and two of the girls pushing my lap restraint closed with all their might. So if you’re around or above a US dress size 16 definitely get in the seat at the beginning of the line for the steel dragon and make sure you’ll fit (and save yourself the embarrassment)!
Regardless of that we had an awesome day that was so much fun and surprisingly relaxed for a day at an amusement park. Park food was pretty standard fare but not bad, beware of the tiny packets of mustard as it’s wasabi mustard which lead to a hilarious surprise when we bit into our corn dogs. Just scraped it off and enjoyed it. If you want to bring in snacks go ahead as they don’t have any rules against it that I saw and was nice that we could bring our full water bottles in as I didn’t see many fountains to fill them.
There are lockers everywhere so if for some reason you’re traveling with luggage you could lock up at the big lockers by the gate and most rides have these genius little lockers to put your bag and any loose items in while you’re on the rides. You lock up the locker and take the key with you on the ride, so smart! We both wear glasses so it was nice to know they were in a safe spot along with my purse with our passports in it.
Anyways, all in all this is a great park for an awesome day on super fun rollercoasters for a very reasonable price and so nice to not have to fight through crowds of people. Will definitely recommend to friends and hope to be back the next time...
