Nagashima Resort was easy to get to with a JR pass and a suica card. They have connecting buses at Kuwana station which leaves every half hour or so. The bus drops you off at the west entrance. I went in the middle of May and it cost about 5,000¥ for unlimited rides. They give you a wrist band as you enter and if you decide to go to the onsen afterwards, keep your ticket stub as I think it's only about 800¥ extra. Getting in a little after the park opened, it was sooo quiet. Almost no lines for the rides! The most I had to wait was a couple of minutes because the ride was full. There were some rides I had all to myself! All the big rides were opened except for the Steel Dragon 2000. Upon entry there was a sign saying that it was closed for maintence. But after midday they were running a couple of test runs on it and it was opened soon after. Wait time was about 20-30 minutes max. Good place to go if you like...
Read moreI love this onsen hotel. The onsen itself is large, gorgeous and with a lot of variety. The thing i like a lot is their cold bath is not too cold, sometimes i want a chill not to be frozen! They have an extremely hot natural hot spring out door bath that is so good.

You put on free yukata there ontop of your underwear. BRING YOUR NEW CLEAN UNDERWEAR AND ANY TOILETRIES WITH YOU. you will leave the locker room and walk out and follow a hallway to the actual undressing room. You will put your clothes and stuff in a second locker there, so put your new clean under layer in that locker. once you are done bathing you change into your clean underlayer and put yukata back on and then go to the dressing room and change into your...
Read moreThis place is amazing! It has the biggest rides i have been on. It also has the current worlds biggest roller coaster the steel dragon 3000. If you want to go on this ride i suggest attending the park in the morning as apparently the wind is more still than the afternoon due to the location of the place. Certain rides get shut down due to wind as thats how big they are. Location of the place is well out of the way. We took a train from Nagoya and then a bus to the amusement park where as other popular tourist spots are near a train station. We went during a week day so the place was completley dead which is sad to see as it is a great place with great rides and its just the location that kills it but its worth...
