If you're OK with a little bit of a walk, this place is a great homebase for visiting Arashiyama. We had the 2-person capsule which was pretty cozy, but it gets the job done. Plus for the price, it's a steal. No complaints about the beds or bathrooms. Everything was clean and comfortable. But what's really special is the atmosphere - it felt almost like being in someone's home. The hostess was very kind and welcoming. Actually everyone we met there was. Hanging out in the common room was a joy -- talking to staff and other guests, who were generous with advice and food and conversation. People were making us coffee and drawing out maps to help us. We even met a fellow guest who ended up spending the whole next day with us touring Arashiyama. I can't describe how special it was, and I really attribute it to the personal environment in this home-like hostel. It's the sort of priceless experience you probably won't get at a hotel. Amazing place to stay on Arashiyama area, is country side. Very clean hostel, shower have towels, shampoo and shower gel. Internet is fantastic. Owners are very nice and helpfull. If you want to go around the city, I recomend to get the city bus map, and for a day pass 600¥ you can anywhere by bus. The comon area is nice to prepare some noodles or take away food to eat, which we bought every day on the very close stores and supermarkets close to the house....

Ήταν η 4η φορά που πήγαινα στο Κυότο κ είχα δει τα κεντρικά αξιοθέατα, οπότε αυτό που μ'ενδιέφερε περισσότερο ήταν η χαμηλότερη τιμή. Έμεινα 8 βράδυα κ αποδείχτηκε πολύ καλή επιλογή. Υπάρχει στα 100 μέτρα λεωφορείο (στάση Hirosawa Goshonouchicho) που σε πηγαίνει σε διάφορους σταθμούς τρένων. Ρωτήστε την ιδιοκτήτρια (Kaori) για λεπτομέρειες. Με περίμενε μ' ανοιχτη αγκαλιά κ ένα δωράκι για το καλωσόρισμα. Αμέσως ένιωσα σαν να ειμαι σπίτι μου. Ήμουν τυχερή γιατί έμεινα στο C4 που ήταν ο πιο μεγάλος χώρος που έχω συναντήσει σ αντίστοιχα καταλύματα! Παρότι υπάρχει μια τουαλέτα κ ένα μπάνιο αντίστοιχα για άντρες κ γυναίκες είναι πάντα καθαρά. Δεν διαθέτει πλυντήριο, αλλά στον ίδιο δρόμο υπάρχει coin laundry. Επίσης υπάρχει Family Mart. Η κουζίνα είναι πολύ ζεστός χώρος όπου μπορεί κάποιος να ζεστάνει το φαγητό του η να μαγειρέψει κ να κάνει καινούργιους φίλους. Καφές κ τσάι παρέχονται δωρεάν. Στη γύρω περιοχή υπάρχουν πολλοί τουριστικοί προορισμοί πχ Arashiyama bamboo forest, Adashino Shrine, το καταπληκτικό music box museum " The Kyoto Arashiyama Orgel museum" μη το χάσετε!! Κ ένα σωρό άλλα. Η Kaori san αναντικατάστατη! Φιλική, εξυπηρετική κ πάντα έτοιμη να σου κάνει ότι ζητήσεις. Μέχρι κ μαθήματα Ιαπωνικών κ Αγγλικών κάναμε!!
