Great for kids: there's a kids room with Lego Duplo, TV cartoons, ping-pong and other toys. Large grassy area with small playground/sand pit, free use of baseball mitts, bicycles, basketball and even a bunch of animals to view (horse, turtles, fish, goats).||Hotel is walking distance to Genki Village with lots of activities like fishing, dolphin swimming, boating etc. Lots of great ocean views. They also have a public bath.||||Hotel definitely has dated interior: carpets look like they haven't been refreshed...ever. But overall the room was clean and comfortable. Excellent room size: we had 2 double beds + desk area + a full tatami area. ||All the rooms have a balcony that provides ocean view and also overlooks the Genki Wellness Village next door, with dolphin show! You could actually catch a free dolphin training show from your room. Bathroom was dated, but clean. ||||We requested a crib for our baby and no issue with space. (Note: we had to call in and request in Japanese (with some assistance). No email address for the hotel so a little inconvenient for foreigners).||||We noticed there's no insulation in the hallways (probably to make it cooler in the summers), but sound travels easily so it can be noisy in early morning or evenings when guests talk.||||The staff had limited English, but passable and we had no issues. ||Lots of parking. Definitely need to rent a car if you are staying out here. Very short drive to Okinawa Aquarium.||||Nice spread for breakfast (included), both Japanese and Western, but beware that food isn't replenished starting ~9AM (breakfast closes at 9:30). They provide high chairs or boosters for children.||||Note: WiFi only available in hotel lobby. They clearly state this limitation, but in case you didn't notice in the hotel details :)||Also, swimming pool has very limited hours (only open after 1PM), so we couldn't...
Read moreI stayed two nights mid week mid February with my adult son, booked through booking.com for, 35,280 yen for 2 nights including breakfast.||||We used public transport so the location was not ideal for us.The hotel is at least 2kms from the Expo Park.We used taxis to go between the hotel and the Expo Park/Aquarium and to the Nago bus terminal. The bus 66 or 65 is not so far to walk to from the hotel but goes inland slightly and not to the aquarium itself.||||The property is showing it's age.The onsen is very old and could do with a refresh. We paid 2000 yen for one hour in their karaoke room which was a bit rundown and unappealing.||||Our room on the 5th floor was a very large twin with tatami area. Most rooms are like this and some have a well stocked toy corner in the room.I have never seen this at a hotel before. All rooms have a balcony with ocean views.Although a little old the room was well kept with comfortable extra large twin beds and comfortable pillows.||||The breakfast room was bright, with ocean views and the breakfast was OK. Dinner at the hotel was very expensive. We went to 2 local restaurants nearby, one by taxi, the other restaurant provided free transport. Both included Okinawan entertainment.||||This is a budget, family friendly hotel but you need a car.Next time I would choose the Orion Hotel which I eyed enviously and wished I had stayed there! .Although it is more expensive the location of the Orion is perfect, right on Emerald Beach and an easy walk to...
Read moreWe decided to stay at Marine Piazza Okinawa thanks to the reviews shared in TripAdvisor.|We felt warmly welcomed when we checked in the hotel even though the staff were struggling abit with conversing in English. They were very friendly still and did their best to answer our queries.|This is the most spacious hotel room which we had stayed in during our trip. The twin beds felt comfortable and spacious (PS: we are on the petite side). There is a big balcony facing the sea and we could hang out wet laundry to dry on a drying line provided. There were clothes pegs provided which we found inside the wardrobe. There were at least 2 sets of futon which our children slept on. There was a spacious platform next to the wardrobe for setting the futon beds. |The breakfast buffet even had a children buffet table; at the children’s height =) with ingredients and sandwich makers for the children and parents to DIY their sandwiches. There are also finger food for the children. The normal buffet spread is mainly Japanese cuisine which we absolutely loved. |There is a large green field outside the reception level which had swings made from logs; see-saws; hula loops and more which our children enjoyed a lot. |There was a building next to them which has dolphin programs (at your own cost) eg swimming with the dolphins. |We were thankful we had the best sleep at this hotel. Definitely a hotel we can return to again and with...
