The facility itself is ok, just some bad smell in the toilet possible from the drain, but the service here is terrible! There is no phone enquipped in the room, so I asked the receptionist (a foreigner) if I can borrow the phone to make a local call to confirm my snorkling tour, but the receptionist refused and said there is no phone in the reception (come on this is Japan not Africa, obviously just an excuse), he told me to drive to the convenient store Lawson to use the paid phone there. A hotel cannot provide a simple phone service for the residents, it is completely ridiculous and unfriendly!||||And the hotel charges 1000 yen for parking each night, it is unreasonabley expensive as the hotel is located in a rural area where parking should not be a problem. The receptionist told me there isno free parking around, but later I found out that there is a empty park at the back of the building where local people park their cars there as well.||||Anyway i did pay for the parking at the hotel, however they charged me 1000 yen without managing or allocating the parking lots. At the 2nd night, the receptionist knocked my door at 10pm (!!!) to ask me to go down and re-park my car to another lot since there is a bigger car needs my current lot, though i think it is annoying, I did as they requested as a courtesy but I think it is their fault not allocating a dessignated lot to each car once arrive.||||I have been travelling to different cities, this is the worst and unfriendly service I have ever had in any...

Read moreIt was new year’s day period and we were running out of options so we decided to try Mr Kinjo. ||Parking: we knew that parking was charged at 1000 yen/day which seemed ok before we got there. But in hindsight, it being a rural small town there’s no real reason to be charging their customers (we only paid 1500 yen/day in JR Blossom Naha hotel which was right smack in the middle of Kokusai Street).||Room: there was a musky, desenitizer smell in the room which we couldn’t get rid of even by opening the doors to air the room. There’s no housekeeping which is fine as we were only there for 2 nights. Towels could be exchanged for free at the reception the next day. Also, the room door doesn’t auto lock when you leave the room. You need to remember to put in the key to close again. ||What we thought was a bit absurd was: 1. No additional pillows could be provided by the reception. The ones in the room were so flat. 2. The room was equipped with an induction cooker but no kitchenware was provided. When queried, the receptionist said sorry you have to bring your own pots and pans and utensils. We don’t provide them as Japanese people tend to travel with their own pots and pans (WHAT?)||Overall, Motobu is a great stopover area if you are visiting the aquarium and want to stay along the coast. However my recommendation would be to stay at other hotels or b&b. There’s also another budget hotel called Costa Bella / Adan resort right next to Mr Kinjo which would have been a...
