信州蘭桑之家 — Hotel in Nagano

We stayed 2 nights in Uematsu to go hiking and to get some rest in calm and beautiful Nagano. And Shinshulanson was perfect for our visit. The elderly couple and owners of the house were super sweet and kind. Every morning we were getting a fullfilling breakfast, had lovely conversations and felt like a part of their family. We booked the traditional Tatami room with a beautiful view over the city. It wasn't as hot anymore as the days before so sleeping without aircon was perfectly fine. All in all is the house very traditional, don't expect many electrical devices, but you get a beautiful experience in a non touristic place and meet some lovely people. The house is like a paperbox, very cold. Heating with kerosine electronic heater bit odd next to paper walls, it consumes all oxygen...
